    The target article offers a game-theoretical analysis of primitive intergroup aggression (i.e., raiding) and discusses difficulties in achieving peace. We argue the analysis does not capture the actual strategy space, missing out “do-nothing.” Experimental evidence robustly shows people prefer doing nothing against out-group members over cooperating with/attacking them. Thus, the target article overestimates the likelihood of intergroup aggression.

    We report an experimental test of the influence of ambiguity on behaviour in a coordination game. We study the behaviour of subjects in the presence of ambiguity and attempt to determine whether they prefer to choose an ambiguity-safe option. We find that this strategy, which is not played in either Nash equilibrium or iterated dominance equilibrium, is indeed chosen quite frequently. Représentent-elles une stratégie pertinente pour produire des connaissances fiables sur les effets de la mesure, ou sont-elles une stratégie politique efficace pour espérer l’instauration d’un véritable revenu universel? Une perspective critique des méthodologies expérimentales en économie et d’une vision trop restrictive du « revenu de base » permettrait d’ouvrir les champs des possibles sur ce terrain des expérimentations.
