The European Clinical Trials Directive (EU 2001; 2001/20/EC) was introduced to improve the efficiency of commercial and academic clinical trials. Concerns have been raised by interested organizations and institutions regarding the potential for negative impact of the Directive on non-commercial European clinical research. Interested researchers within the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) were surveyed to determine whether researcher experiences confirmed this view. Following a pilot study, an internet-based questionnaire was distributed to individuals in key research positions in (...) the European haemopoietic SCT community. Seventy-one usable questionnaires were returned from participants in different EU member states. The results indicate that the perceived impact of the European Clinical Trials Directive has been negative, at least in the research areas of interest to the EBMT. (shrink)

Sosyal bilimlerde sosyo-kültürel ve etno-sosyolojik araştırmalar geniş bir yer tutar. Bir grubun sosyo-kültürel ve etno-sosyolojik değişkenler özelinde kendisini nasıl tanımladığı araştırılan bir husustur. Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinde yaşayan alt kültür grupları bu değişkenler bağlamında incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma Türkiye’de yaygın bir şekilde yaşayan gruplardan biri olan Karakeçililerden, Siverek Karakeçilerini incelemiştir. Siverek Karakeçilileri; etnografik bir alan araştırmasıyla, kendi yaşam alanlarına katılım sağlanarak elde edilen verilerle incelenmiştir. Veriler MAXQDA nitel veri analiz programı aracılığıyla değerlendirmiştir. Mehmet Eröz 1982’de aynı grubu aynı alanda incelemiştir. Makalede; Eröz’ün (...) tespitleri ile araştırmacının tespitleri karşılaştırmalı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Böylelikle iki çalışma arasındaki uzun süre zarfı göz önüne alınarak, Siverek Karakeçililerinin yaşadığı değişim ve dönüşüm değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma bu yönüyle özgünlük arz etmektedir. (shrink)

İhtilaflar fıkhını, hilâf ilmini ve mukayeseli fıkıhı tanım ve oluşum açısından ayırdım. Fıkıhçıların ihtilaflarının öne çıkan faydalarını zikrettim ve ihtilaflar fıkhı alanında eser yazarken kullanılan altı yöntemi kitap ve fıkhî problem örnekleri ile belirttim. Alanda çalışanların günümüzde ve geçmişte kullanılan eser yazma yöntemini göstermesi için hilâf ilminde kullanılan bir yöntemi, mukayeseli hukukta ise dört yöntemi zikrettim.

İSNAD Atıf Sistemi (www.isnadsistemi.org), Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesinin proje desteği ile akademik araştırmalarda kullanılmak üzere Türkiye merkezli ve Türkçe olarak geliştirilen bir akademik yazım ve kaynak gösterim sistemidir. İSNAD, akademik araştırma, yazım ve yayın etiğiyle ilgili temel kuralları kapsar. Bu, bir yazının başlığının belirlenmesinden özetinin yazılmasına ve anahtar kavramlarının seçimine, başlık formatından tablo ve şekillerin oluşturulmasına, İngilizce, Arapça ve diğer dillerdeki eser adları ve yazar isimlerinin yazılmasına, tarih ve yüzyılların gösterilmesine, yayın etiğine dikkat edilmesine, kaynak eserden alıntı yapılmasına ve atıf bilgilerinin (...) düzenlenmesine kadar geniş bir yelpazeyi içerir. Bir bilimsel çalışmanın hazırlanmasında kullanılan kaynaklar, diğer araştırmacılar tarafından erişilebilir ve doğrulanabilir olacak şekilde bibliyografik bileşenleriyle doğru ve eksiksiz olarak yazılmalıdır. İSNAD Atıf Sistemi’nde; atıf yapılan kaynağa dair bilgiler, metin içinde (Yazar Soyadı, Basım Tarihi, Sayfa No.) şeklinde veya dipnotta "Yazar Adı Soyadı, Eser Adı, Sayfa No." düzeninde ilgili bilim dalının genel kullanımına uyularak yazılabilmektedir. Ancak kaynakça her iki kullanımda da aynı şekilde oluşturulmaktadır. İSNAD; EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley ve Citavi gibi akademik yazım araçları için hazırlanmış şablonlarıyla kullanımı kolay bir sistemdir. İSNAD'ın kullanımı, aslı İngilizce ve tam metinleri ücretli olan atıf stillerinin Türkiye ve Türk Cumhuriyetlerinde tam olarak öğrenilememesinden ve yaygınlaşamamasından kaynaklanan eksiklikleri giderecektir. Ayetler, ele aldıkları konular itibariyle geniş bir konu yelpazesine sahiptir. Bu konuları ise bazen doğrudan ve yoruma gerek bırakmayacak şekilde bazen de bu netlikte olmadan ortaya koyarlar. Bu durum, ayetle muhatap olan kişinin metni doğru anlamasında belli bir yöntem ve birikime sahip olmasını gerekli kılar. Bu ise muhatabın metni anlama ve yorumlamasında, sahip olduğu bakış açısının etkisini baskın hale getirir. Bu bağlamda ahkâm ayetlerine bakıldığında onların sınırlı ve bazı alanları düzenleyici oldukları görülür. Ayrıca içerdikleri ahkâma dair de çoğu kez farklı (...) yorumlanabilecek bir üslûba sahiptirler. Bu durum, onları anlamaya çalışan fukaha için bir taraftan geniş bir yorum sahası açarken diğer taraftan yapılan yorumda hesabı verilebilirlik unsurunu öne çıkartır. Bu zeminde ahkâma dair ayetler, fakihler tarafından çeşitli yorumlara tabi tutulmuştur. Ayetlerden hüküm çıkarmaya çalışan bu ilim adamları, çeşitli etkenler altında bu ameliyeyi gerçekleştirmişlerdir. Bu etkenlerden bir tanesi de takip edilen amelî mezheptir. Bu makale, ahkâm tefsirlerinin ilklerine sahip olan, bununla birlikte farklı fıkhî mezheplere tabi bulunan üç fakih-müfessir üzerinden meselenin bu veçhesine eğilmektedir. Given that care duties are central to the definition of motherhood across contexts, an extended separation from the woman’s family due to migration presents a major threat to her social identity as a mother and wife. Drawing on West and Zimmerman’s notion of “doing gender” and ethnographic research on Vietnamese low-waged contract workers in Taiwan, I provide vital insights into the discursive processes and everyday practices that underlie migrant women’s negotiations of motherhood and femininity. Specifically, I examine the various ways (...) migrant women perform and negotiate meanings of hy sinh and chịu đựng that are core values of Vietnamese womanhood. Combating the stigma of bad motherhood and failed femininity, I emphasize, is not just about reasserting one’s sense of gendered self but also about reassuring her access to the future support and care of the family. It is known that the text of the Qur'an is artistic prose that has reached an unprecedented level in terms of its unique style, superiority, and robustness. Likewise, it can be said for hadith texts reach the peak of eloquence and beauty. Scholars have paid attention to the Qur'an and Hadith texts for centuries in their scientific studies. There are also poets among those who care. Inspired by both texts, they tried to use their style in their odes and literary (...) products through quotation, reference, compensation, and similar arts. From this point of view, our research aims to examine the phenomenon of religious intertextuality in African Arabic poetry -on the condition that the study is limited to the West African region- and to explain its places. In addition to learning to what extent the African poet was influenced by the style, language structure, and methods of the Qur'an and hadith texts, it also explores the relationship adopted between his literary references. What gives this study important is that it attempts to apply one of the modern critical theories to Arabic poetry from West Africa, which many researchers do not know about. This research will prove the rooting of the art of Arabic poetry in West Africa through its intertextuality with the ancient Arab heritage, as well as the validity of its use as a scientific material for contemporary theories. During the research, it was determined that various religious intertextuality was used in the poems of African poets. The poets did not adhere to a certain form in their poems, on the contrary, they used different methods at every stage of their poems. This revealed their culture and knowledge of Arabic literature and poets and showed the extent of their devotion to the Qur'an and Sunnah. Likewise, by referring to historical events and religious people with a religious dimension, they revealed creativity in their poems. For this reason, they were able to paint the most beautiful artistic paintings, which impressed both the reader and the listener. (shrink)

Neuwelt et al. review available viral-mediated gene therapy methods and their blood-brain-barrier (BBB) disruption delivery technique, briefly mentioning nonviral mediated gene therapy methods. This commentary discussed the BBB disruption delivery technique, viral and nonviral mediated gene therapy approaches to Parkinson's disease, and the potential use of antisense oligo to suppress malignant brain tumors.

This study examines values and value types as well as scores in levels of moral reasoning for␣students enrolled in a business program. These two factors are measured using the Schwartz Personal Values␣Questionnaire and the Defining Issues Test 2. No statistically significant differences in levels of moral␣reasoning, rankings of values, and value types could be attributed to gender. However, eight significant correlations between value types and levels of moral reasoning provide evidence that a systematic relationship exists. This paper starts with one of Chalmers’ basic points: first-hand experience is an irreducible field of phenomena. I claim there is no ‘theoretical fix’ or ‘extra ingredient’ in nature that can possibly bridge this gap. Instead, the field of conscious phenomena requires a rigorous method and an explicit pragmatics for its exploration and analysis. My proposed approach, inspired by the style of inquiry of phenomenology, I have called neurophenomenology. It seeks articulations by mutual constraints between phenomena present in experience and (...) the correlative field of phenomena established by the cognitive sciences. To solve the problem that traditional trajectory prediction methods cannot meet the requirements of high-precision, multi-dimensional and real-time prediction, a 4D trajectory prediction model based on the backpropagation (BP) neural network was studied. First, the hierarchical clustering algorithm and the k-means clustering algorithm were adopted to analyze the total flight time. Then, cubic spline interpolation was used to interpolate the flight position to extract the main trajectory feature. The 4D trajectory prediction model was based on the BP neural network. It (...) was trained by Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast trajectory from Qingdao to Beijing and used to predict the flight trajectory at future moments. In this paper, the model is evaluated by the common measurement index such as maximum absolute error, mean absolute error and root mean square error. It also gives an analysis and comparison of the predicted over-point time, the predicted over-point altitude, the actual over-point time and the actual over-point altitude. The results indicate that the predicted 4D trajectory is close to the real flight data, and the time error at the crossing point is no more than 1 min and the altitude error at the crossing point is no more than 50 m, which is of high accuracy.
