Profile of hospital transplant ethics committees in the Philippines.Mary Ann Abacan - 2021 - Developing World Bioethics 21 (3):139-146.
In the Philippines, all transplant centers are mandated by the Department of Health (DOH) to have a Hospital Transplant Ethics Committee (HTEC) to ensure that donations are altruistic, voluntary and free of coercion/commercial transactions. This study was undertaken primarily to describe the organizational and functional profile of existing HTECs and identify areas for improvement. This is a descriptive cross‐sectional study. There was variation in their logistical arrangements (support from hospital, filing systems, office spaces), operations (length and frequency of meetings, number (...)

Plato's Phaedo, written by legendary author Plato, is widely considered to be one of the greatest classic texts of all time. Industries in Central and Eastern Europe. Enhancing Competitiveness by Integrating Services into Manufacturing.Sorin Burnete - 2015 - Human and Social Studies 4 (1):30-42.
During the last two decades, the intra-industry trade between western companies and former socialist enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe gradually shifted from the subcontracting of marginal operations such as final assembly to the outsourcing of products and intermediate inputs. To further enhance their competitiveness, firms in Central and Eastern Europe have yet to take one more step forward: integrate services with manufacturing. Developing such capabilities hinges, aside from intensive training and learning on the existence of functional interactive knowledgebased innovation (...)

    Vindiciae Platonicae II.John Burnet - 1920 - Classical Quarterly 14 (3-4):132-.
These notes have been interrupted by the war, and the appearance of Wilamowitz's Platon makes it desirable to resume them on a slightly different plan. That work has an appendix entitled Textkritik, which cannot be passed over in silence, since the writer's reputation and the air of authority he assumes might easily mislead those who have no first-hand knowledge of Platonic textual criticism. I hope to show that most of his conjectures are wrong, and that many of them suggest doubts (...)

    Vindiciae Platonicae III.John Burnet - 1921 - Classical Quarterly 15 (1):1-7.
Schanz never edited either the Parmenides or the Philebus. For the former we have minute collations of B and T in Waddell's edition, but the readings of W are still unknown. As, however, Wilamowitz has no suggestions to make about the text of the Parmenides, this does not matter for our present purpose. It seems that this dialogue was transcribed with special care just because of its difficulty. At any rate, its text is remarkably good. For the Philebus I published (...)

    Vindiciae Platonicae I.John Burnet - 1914 - Classical Quarterly 8 (4):230-236.
As the plan of the Oxford Bibliotheca does not allow an editor to justify his treatment of a text in detail, it is inevitable that misunderstandings should arise, and I see that even a competent Platonic scholar like C. Ritter has missed the point more than once in his recent Bericht. I make no complaint of that–it was inevitable–but I feel bound to put on record my views on at least the more important problems suggested by the text. First, however, (...)

Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.
