    Cette étude n'est pas une introduction philosophique à la peinture mais, au contraire, une introduction picturale à la philosophie, c'est-à-dire en quoi la peinture donne à penser. On a tenté de philosopher à partir d'un certain ordre de faits, qui sont les tableaux, pour en inférer des conclusions d'ordre philosophique et ainsi nommer "ontologie de la peinture" l'ordre de recherche proposé.
