    Although Sartre rejects a certain kind of idealism in "Truth and Existence", I argue that a commitment to a kind of transcendental idealism remains. I explore the expression of this idealism in "Truth and Existence" and how it enhances an idealist tradition which begins with Kant. Using resource dependency theory as our conceptual framing, we identify some of the drivers of corporate responses to shareholder activists.
