On oppose volontiers Max Weber à Karl Marx.

Does progressive aphantasia exist? The hypothetical role of aphantasia in the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases.Emilia J. Sitek & Seweryna Konieczna - 2022 - Behavioral and Brain Sciences 45:e299.
Aphantasia is a heterogeneous neuropsychological syndrome consisting of the inability to create mental images. We argue that its progressive form may be a harbinger of dementia. Aphantasia may manifest as the inability to create any mental images or to create complex scenes, inability to spontaneously initiate generation of mental images, and/or inability to visualize a sequence of events.

They are expressives, too. There is a phonology. There is a syntax. There is a compositional semantics. There are interesting interactions to investigate. German, Greek, and Papago are known examples of discourse particle languages. Intonation has been said to have similar uses in other languages.

Ouch!: Western Feminists’ ‘Wounded Attachment’ to the ‘Third World Prostitute’.Jo Doezema - 2001 - Feminist Review 67 (1):16-38.
Trafficking in women’ has, in recent years, been the subject of intense feminist debate. This article analyses the position of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW) and the writings of its founder, Kathleen Barry. It suggests that CATW's construction of ‘third world prostitutes’ is part of a wider western feminist impulse to construct a damaged ‘other’ as justification for its own interventionist impulses. The central argument of this article is that the ‘injured body’ of the ‘third world trafficking victim’ (...)

Ouch, That Doesn’t Fit There.Ryan Tanner - 2008 - Proceedings of the Xxii World Congress of Philosophy 10:419-426.
According to the “fitting-attitudes” (FA) account of value, for a thing to be valuable is for it to be the fitting object of a pro-attitude. Value here is analyzed in terms of reasons for and against favoring, admiring, desiring, preferring, loving, etc. a thing. Whichever particular FA analysis you prefer, the basic idea is just that a thing’s value depends on extant reasons to be favorably (or disfavorably) disposed toward it. Of course, proponents of FA analyses deny that just any (...)

O literackich sposobach mistyfikowania doświadczenia obozowego kobiet w historycznoliterackim kontekście. Zofia Kossak, Seweryna Szmaglewska, Krystyna Żywulska.Dariusz Kulesza - 2022 - Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Litteraria Polonica 67 (2):199-226.

Internal cross-references are frequent in Eckhart’s Latin works. In many cases it is easy to identify the passages he had in mind, but several quotations refer to works which are no longer extant or, more probably, to treatises the author intended to write but never actually wrote. This network of cross-indications constitutes a virtual internal memory that links the different parts of Eckhart’s work together in a coherent system. In the German works, the recurring reference to ideas and thoughts already (...)

Emotive interjections in British English: a corpus-based study on variation in acquisition, function, and usage.Ulrike Stange - 2016 - Philadelphia: John Benjamins.
Emotive Interjections in British English: A corpus-based study on variation in acquisition, function and usage constitutes the first in-depth corpus-based study on the use of emotive interjections in Present Day British English. In a novel approach, it systematically distinguishes between child and adult speakers, providing new insights into how they use Ow!, Ouch!, Ugh!, Yuck!, Whoops!, Whoopsadaisy! and Wow! in everyday spoken language. It studies in detail their acquisition by children and pinpoints changes and developments in their use throughout early (...)

The text at Phaedo 100a is a well-known crux: Socrates seems to claim as for his use of a hypothesis: whatever does not follow from my hypothesis, I put down as not true (hos ouk alethe). Since there may be pairs of contradictory propositions, both of which do not follow from his hypothesis, Socrates would have to claim that both are false, although of two contradictory propositions only one can be false. I argue, using a reading already proposed by Henricus (...)
