    Some principles related to Chang's conjecture.Hans-Dieter Donder & Jean-Pierre Levinski - 1989 - Annals of Pure and Applied Logic 45 (1):39-101.
We determine the consistency strength of the negation of the transversal hypothesis. We also study other variants of Chang's conjecture.

    Soziologische Kausalanalyse: Eine Betrachtung aus großer Distanz.Dieter Mans - 1983 - Analyse & Kritik 5 (2):154-194.
Is causal analysis an appropriate method to discover causal laws? Some prerequisites for any successful application of mathematical causal models are worked out and discussed. It can be shown that these prerequisites cannot be fulfilled by present models and there are strong reasons to assume that they cannot be satisfied by any model. Therefore causal analysis will probably be of no importance for the discovery of causal laws in sociology.

Some considerations about the further development of situational analysis.Dieter Bichlbauer - 1998 - Philosophy of the Social Sciences 28 (3):422-433.
Popper gives the concept of social situation the role of key term in the method ology of situational analysis. The important characteristics of the social situation are aims and knowledge, which are attributed to the actor and are part of the situation. Furthermore, the elements of the situation create or are, as social institutions, obstacles to the actor. But more complex situations exist which here are called actor specific situations and are much more structured by the actor. The aims and (...)

Personalität.Dieter Birnbacher - 2011 - In Ralf Stoecker, Christian Neuhäuser & Marie-Luise Raters (eds.), Handbuch Angewandte Ethik. Stuttgart: Verlag J.B. Metzler. pp. 147-154.

Dieter Henrich and Contemporary Philosophy: The Return to Subjectivity.Dieter Freundlieb - 2003 - Routledge.
Dieter Henrich is one of the most respected and frequently cited philosophers in Germany today. His extensive and highly innovative studies of German Idealism and his systematic analyses of subjectivity have significantly impacted on advanced German philosophical and theological debates. Dieter Henrich and Contemporary Philosophy presents a comprehensive analysis of Henrich's work on subjectivity, evaluating it in the context of contemporary debates in both continental and analytic traditions. Familiarising the non-German reader with an important development in contemporary German (...)

First I argue that the prohibition of linguistic self-reference as a solution to the antinomy problem contains a pragmatic contradiction and is thus not only too restrictive, but just inconsistent (chap.1). Furthermore, the possibilities of non-restrictive strategies for antinomy avoidance are discussed, whereby the explicit inclusion of the – pragmatically presuposed – consistency requirement proves to be the optimal strategy (chap.2). The central question here is that about the actual reason for antinomic structures. It turns out to be a form (...)

The right to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress: in search of state obligations in relation to health.Yvonne Donders - 2011 - Medicine, Health Care and Philosophy 14 (4):371-381.
After having received little attention over the past decades, one of the least known human rights—the right to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress and its applications—has had its dust blown off. Although included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR)—be it at the very end of both instruments -this right hardly received any attention from States, UN bodies and programmes and academics. The role of science in (...)

Public service media as drivers of innovation: A case study analysis of policies and strategies in Spain, Ireland, and Belgium.Karen Donders & Sabela Direito-Rebollal - 2023 - Communications 48 (1):43-67.
In the post-broadcast era, public service media (PSM) organizations have to innovate, stay up-to-date with new ways of consuming content, and experiment with the manifold opportunities that interactivity offers for audience engagement. At the same time, they are still obligated to achieve their public service remit and guarantee that services comply with values such as universality, diversity, creativity, and innovation. This article analyzes the innovation policies and strategies of PSM to understand if these are shifting from a technology-centric to a (...)

"Dieter Jähnig's life's work has been devoted to uncovering and exploring the field of tension between philosophy and art. The combination of comprehensive expertise in the field of the arts, together with the willingness of philosophy to radically question itself, has yielded a wealth of critical insights that can have a liberating and objectifying effect on the subject sciences. The many years of study with Jacob Burckhardt have produced an analysis of the different presences of the arts in time (...)
