He goes on to examine Leibnitz’s complex and mercurial attitudes towards principles and discusses the effects of these attitudes on his philosophy and on contributions to mathematics and logic.

The article focuses on the ideas of psychiatrist Sigmund Freud and his theories and ideas on human thought and desire. It is suggested that even though some consider Freud as a genius regarding ideas of the unconscious mind, others believe that it was just propaganda. Included in the article are opinions on many of Freud's ideas on dreams, personality, conflict, repressions and the unconscious. The consent for the translation and its publication was expressed by the heirs of Ortega, represented by Andreas Ortega Klein The essay „No ser hombre de partido” by José Ortega y Gasset was published for the first time in the Argentinian magazine La Nación. It has been divided into two parts. The first was published on (...) May 15, 1930. The second was June 3, 1930. The subject of reflection is the problem of “partisanism,” which is considered from two perspectives — metaphysical and social. The first one makes “partisanism” a manifestation of compensation, falsification of one’s being and lack of acceptance for one’s own vocation. The second one indicates that “partisanism” is a historical phenomenon, the beginning of which is the nineteenth century. Then, for the first time, society is understood as a permanent and eternal struggle. This requires as a consequence the constitution of fighting groups, called parties. Ortega, on the other hand, wants to overcome both versions of “partisanism.” Therefore, it is on the side of the authenticity of our individual life and independent of the party, ideas, feelings and values. It is possible, in the context of contemplating relation of philosophy and sport, to think on the phenomenon of hunting. Hunting is one of the most important formative forces in human development. Although hunting is not the most important food collectable tool any more, it is still present in human life in the form of leisure. In this paper we are trying to follow thoughts of Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset on the subject of hunting. In (...) his Meditations on Hunting Gasset tries to show an inseparable connection of man and nature, especially through the hunting. For the contemporary human it is important to preserve hunting, even as a sport, although according to Ortega hunting is much more than sport, because without the hunting, human life is not complete. In this context we can ask if the hunting is a way of remaining near the nature, or just one in many other modes of destruction of nature. Although this paper is not trying to analyze the social or moral acceptability of hunting in contemporary society, it focuses on the critique of Ortega’s positions. (shrink)
