In der Erfahrung sind zwei Stufen zu unterscheiden: Die primäre Welt besteht aus den noch nicht dinglich gedeuteten Sinnesempfindungen in ihrer einfachsten Ordnung nach Zeit-, Raum-und Qualitätsunterschieden. Alle Ordnung und Verarbeitung der Erfahrung von solcher Art, daß sie auch weggelassen werden kann, rechnet zur zweiten Stufe. Ihr Inhalt ist die sekundäre Welt; Beispiele: die gewöhnliche Welt des täglichen Lebens und die physikalische Welt.Der Begriff der Dimensionszahl (DZ) wird festgelegt. Während die sekundäre (die gewöhnliche und die physikalische) Welt die DZ (3+1) (...) hat (d. h. 3 Raum- und 1 Zeitdimension), ergibt die Untersuchung für die primäre Welt (den Bereich der ungedeuteten Sinnesempfindungen) nur die DZ (2+1). Die Konstruktion der sekundären Welt schließt also eine Erhöhung der DZ um 1 ein.Nach einer Bestimmung des Begriffs der determinierenden und der beschränkenden Gesetze zeigt sich: In der sekundären (physikalischen) Welt gelten determinierende Gesetze bestimmter Art (ersten Grades). In der primären Welt bestehen weder determinierende noch auch bloß beschränkende Gesetze. Der Aufbau der sekundären Welt führt also die Determiniertheit neu ein.Die beiden in die sekundäre Welt eingebauten Fiktionen: Dreidimensionalität des Raumes (gleichbedeutend mit Vierdimensionalität des Weltgeschehens) und Determiniertheit oder physikalische Kausalität stehen in logischem Abhängigkeits-verhältnis zueinander. Im ersten Teil des Anhangs zur Transzendentalen Dialektik entwickelt Kant einen Übergang zwischen dem logischen Gebrauch der Vernunft und den transzendentalen Prinzipien der Vernunft. Basierend auf methodologischen Überlegungen zur Chemie, zur physiologischen Anthropologie und zur Entwicklungsgeschichte astronomischer Grundannahmen versucht Kant, diese Prinzipien in ihrem transzendentalen Status zu rechtfertigen und ihre Kompatibilität mit anderen Teilen der Kritik der reinen Vernunft nachzuweisen. Ausgehend von diesen wissenschaftstheoretischen Beispielen wird für eine heuristisch- pragmatische Rechtfertigung der transzendentalen Prinzipien der Vernunft und eine ideelle Funktion der (...) durch diese Prinzipien gewonnenen Ideen argumentiert. Dabei lässt sich die enge Verbindung zwischen den transzendentalen Prinzipien des ersten Teils des Anhangs zur Transzendentalen Dialektik und Kants Konzept der rationalen Naturwissenschaft in den Metaphysischen Anfangsgründen der Naturwissenschaft nachweisen. The article traces out the history of the evolution in meaning of the phenomenological reduction in husserl's writings. The starting point is husserl's conviction that what is lacking most to philosophy as well as to science is a truly rigorous scientific method. Already in the "logical investigations" (1901) the phenomenological reduction is presented as the core of this method. But here this reduction is understood as a deliberate restriction or limitation of the mind to what is adequately perceived in an (...) "adequately fulfilling intuition" within the immanence of consciousness, Excluding any transcendence. In his lectures on "the idea of phenomenology" a significant expansion of the notion of reduction begins to appear. There is still the insistence on the absolutely given, But this now begins to include a certain "real transcendence" extending beyond the sphere of "real immanence to consciousness." this change appears first in his published works in the "ideas" of 1913. In the theoretical philosophy of Immanuel Kant, the term object has an extensive and far-reaching significance, and it can therefore be understood as a theory of objects. This becomes particularly clear when it is observed that all of his guidelines can be traced to different concepts of objects and their combination. With his concept of the object of experience, he attempts to mediate incompatible aspects in this: in relation to the object of experience, we have apodictic claims but at the (...) same time our knowledge of the object develops and contains the possibility of historical progress. This theory of objects was elaborated by Kant with regard to natural science and the claim of its metaphysical foundation. For this reason, Kant’s concept of object is inherently linked with his concept of science. Astronomy is at the core of his investigation, because it represents a perfect example of a so-called proper and rational natural science. (shrink)

Of all of his works, The Philosophy of Spiritual Activity is the one that Steiner himself believed would have the longest life and the greatest spiritual and cultural consequences. Es ist unbestritten, dass Kant dem Verhaltnis von Wissen und Glauben besondere philosophische Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet hat und seine Verhaltnisbestimmung von Glauben und Wissen einen Meilenstein in der neuzeitlichen Religionsphilosophie markiert. Seine differenzierte philosophische Grundlegung des Glaubens erweist sich nach wie vor als sehr aktuell und hochst lehrreich, auch wenn seine Glaubens-Analysen in gegenwartigen religionsphilosophischen Bemuhungen weithin vernachlassigt - oder lediglich philosophie-historisch verortet - werden. Doch nur auf den ersten Blick sind Kants mannigfaltige Ausserungen zum Thema Glauben, den er bekanntlich als (...) Vernunftglauben bestimmte, in der Sache deckungsgleich; bei genauerem Hinsehen zeigen sich vielmehr denkwurdige sachliche Verschiebungen und Nuancierungen. Ausgehend von einer bemerkenswerten fruhen Reflexion Kants, die die Selbsterhaltung der Vernunft als Fundament des Vernunftglaubens charakterisiert, spricht offenbar vieles dafur, dass dieses Programm der Selbsterhaltung der Vernunft sich selbst erst in verschiedenen - teleologisch interpretierbaren - Gestalten dieses Vernunftglaubens auf dem Weg von der Kritik zur eigentlichen, d. h. praktischdogmatischen Metaphysik und dem darin vollzogenen Uberschritt zum Ubersinnlichen entfaltet und realisiert. From the Christian perspective, creation exists through the Word of God. The Word of God does not create God again but brings forth the absolute “otherness” of God: creation. The nature of God is to exist. God is existence as unity in the diversity of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The gift of created existence reflects the triune nature of the Word of God. It is synthesis of diversity into unity that creates. Nature brings forth new (...) existence by unifying what it already brought forth previously. Therefore, the creative process of nature is self‐similar and nonlinear: self‐similar because at all levels it is synthesis that brings forth novelty; nonlinear because the properties of the new unities are not present in their (isolated) elements. The new properties of the wholes, however, do not destroy the properties of the parts. Rather, the elements integrated into new wholes become creatively transformed. This is because the parts become carriers of the whole, which transforms the parts through its presence. The parts become and express the qualities of the whole, qualities that the parts do not possess in isolation. Synthesis, therefore, transforms the parts creatively, because synthesis is creative. The qualities of the parts become “elevated” because the whole becomes present in and through the parts. The understanding of creation as the result of sequential, creative transformations offers a glance into the mystery of the Word of God present in the Eucharist. Here, too, the elements of bread and wine are not destroyed but elevated, creatively transformed into the Word of God. The elements (bread and wine) become the carrier of a transcendent “quality,” the Word of God. From this perspective, creation and the sacrament of the Eucharist illuminate each other. This is because the Word of God that creates the otherness of creation and the Word of God present in the Eucharist is the same. (shrink)
