ZusammenfassungIn diesem Artikel vertrete ich die These, dass die christliche spirituelle Theologie das Potenzial hat, die Theologie eines mündigen Christentums zu sein. Um meine These zu belegen, stelle ich das theologische Denken des libanesisch-orthodoxen Bischofs George Khodr vor, der neben den theologischen Beiträgen der frühen griechischen Kirchenväter und auch Gedanken vieler westlicher und östlicher Denker und Theologen, deren Beiträge im Laufe der Geschichte für Spiritualität stehen, in sein Denken integriert hat. Die christliche spirituelle Theologie ist also eine Theologie, die auf (...) einer Einsicht und Erkenntnis beruht, die das Ergebnis eines originellen, kreativen Denkens ist, dessen Grund im Menschen selbst liegt. Die spirituelle Theologie ist auch existentiell und kann als anthropologische Theologie wahrgenommen werden, da sie das ganze Engagement der Person erfordert und die menschliche Suche nach dem Göttlichen zum Ausgangspunkt hat. Und schließlich hat die spirituelle Theologie das Kreuz in ihrem Zentrum, was bedeutet, dass ihr Endziel auch der Geist ist, in dem und durch den die Einheit des Menschlichen und des Göttlichen möglich wird. Der Philosoph Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762–1814) gilt mit seiner sogenannten ›Wissenschaftslehre‹ als einer der bedeutendsten Vertreter einer transzendentalen Theorie über – modern gesprochen – Wissenschaftstheorie. Könnten so seine Entdeckungen nicht auch für die Theologie systematische Bedeutung haben, insbesondere in der Frage, ob diese selber eine Wissenschaft sein kann? Mathias Müller versucht anhand einer systematischen Konstruktionsanalyse von Fichtes Schrift »Die Principien der Gottes- Sitten- u. Rechtslehre. Februar und März 1805« zu zeigen, dass und wie in der Wissenschaftslehre diese selber eine Grundlegung (...) bildet, die als eine Grundlagentheorie der Theologie eingesehen werden kann. Mittels des Modells des ›Transzensus‹ wird versucht, einen für das transzendentale Ich gangbaren Weg nachzuzeichnen und anzubieten, um so – performativ erlebbar – die Wissenschaftlichkeit einer Theologie als transzendentale Fundamentaltheologie zu erschliessen. Les textes les plus récents de Carlo Ginzburg développent une « théologie politique » originale, revendiquée sous ce nom et mêlant dans une synthèse nouvelle théologie de l’histoire (Augustin), exégèse biblique (Paul), théorie des cas et des exceptions (Machiavel, Pascal, Carl Schmitt). Cette théologie politique, pensée sous le signe de l’« ambivalence » et de l’ambiguïté, trouve son origine dans un aspect précis, bien que peu remarqué, des grandes enquêtes historiques de Ginzburg depuis Les batailles nocturnes (1966) : une confrontation (...) permanente avec la confession, à travers un examen attentif des pouvoirs de l’aveu. Il s’avère nécessaire d’élaborer une théologie fondamentale de la sacramentalité qui implique une réévaluation de notre rapport à la théologie sacramentaire scolastique et invite à la fois à en mesurer les limites et à s’alimenter de ce qu’elle a de meilleur . Was kann eine Rezeption Wittgensteinscher Philosophie für die Theologie leisten? Dieser Frage geht die Autorin anhand zweier prominenter Beispiele nach: des walisischen Religionsphilosophen D. Z. Phillips und des amerikanischen Theologen George A. Lindbeck. Dadurch werden zwei bedeutende Beiträge anglo-amerikanischer Wittgensteinrezeption für den deutschsprachigen Raum zugänglich gemacht. Als Ansatzpunkt einer «Theologie nach Wittgenstein» steht der Grammatikbegriff Wittgensteins im zweiten Teil der Arbeit im Zentrum. Vor dem Hintergrund des Wittgensteinschen Theologieverständnisses (unter Einbeziehung der Versuche Phillips' und Lindbecks) beschreibt die Autorin, wie eine (...) «Theologie als Grammatik» von Wittgenstein her gedacht werden kann. Stimulé par la montée du féminisme caractéristique du XXe siècle, un double courant théologique a vu le jour, dont l’article présente un panorama et propose une interprétation. D’une part, le magistère catholique a développé une théologie de «la Femme» qui se situe globalement dans la ligne de la tradition marquée par la domination masculine. D’autre part, la théologie féministe, radicalement novatrice, associe réflexion critique et praxis libératrice. L’article présente une vue englobante de ce courant pluriel et transconfessionnel.

Carl Andresen (1909-1985) widmete sich seit seiner bahnbrechenden Studie Logos und Nomos (1955) dem Verhältnis von Antike und Christentum. Die gesammelten Studien leuchten dieses Feld der Begegnung in vielfältigen Facetten aus, von der Zuordnung von Theologie und Philosophie in den Debatten über die Trinität über Fragen der Ethik und Seelsorge bis zur Verteidigung des Wahrheitsanspruchs der Bibel gegenüber der philosophischen, besonders der platonischen Tradition. Die Apologeten der frühen Kirche sowie Augustin als integrale Gestalt der Spätantike stehen dabei im Mittelpunkt. Andresen (...) zeigt, dass und wie die Wahrheit der christlichen Botschaft sich im Horizont antiker Geistigkeit bewährte. Möglich war dies nur durch Anknüpfung und Kritik zugleich. Jenseits der Frage nach einer einlinigen Hellenisierung des Christentums macht Andresen deutlich, wie die Rezeption der Antike nicht nur Kirche und Theologie, sondern auch die Antike selbst neu gestaltete. Rodrigo Castro Orellana La première partie de l’article analyse certains des aspects fondamentaux du débat sur la théologie politique, principalement à partir des recherches de Carl Schmitt. Ensuite, il étudie la mise à jour de cette controverse par Giorgio Agamben en identifiant ses principaux enjeux théoriques et politiques. Enfin, dans la troisième section, l’article étudie le contraste entre le concept de pouvoir pastoral de Michel Foucault et la version spécifique de la sécularisation proposée par le paradigme théologico-historique.

Qu’est-ce que la théologie analytique ? Que veut la théologie analytique et que pouvons-nous attendre d’elle ? Ces questions semblent constituer le défi d’aujourd’hui pour la théologie analytique. Nous répondrons à ces questions, en proposant de la distinguer des autres disciplines avec lesquelles elle semble se confondre. Cette recherche nous conduira d’abord à proposer une nouvelle définition de la théologie analytique fondée sur trois critères et par la suite à distinguer deux manières de faire la théologie analytique: (i) une théologie (...) analytique de bas en haut et (ii) une théologie analytique de haut en bas. Selon notre thèse, seule une théologie analytique confessante de haut en bas peut être considérée comme une théologie analytique à part entière. (shrink)

Summary The critique of C. H. Ratschow and Knud E. Løgstrup against the existential theology of Bultmann serves as starting point for asking the question about the possibility of thinking metaphysically within theology. Various forms of critique of metaphysics are mentioned, in particular the one of Jürgen Habermas, who’s characterisation of Martin Luther’s theology as „fideistic“ is rejected. After a short presentation of the concept of time in Luther’s De servo aritrio the creation philosophy of Løgstrup is presented as a (...) plausible theological metaphysics. (shrink)

Karl Barth mérite-t-il le discrédit herméneutique dont il fait l’objet, spécialement dans l’aire francophone ? L’article entend mettre à jour un aspect de sa théologie, très présent dans le quatrième volume de la Kirchliche Dogmatik, en identifiant les coordonnées d’une « herméneutique de l’historicité ». Non content de structurer sa christologie en fonction de l’historicité du Médiateur, Barth la déploie en explorant les différentes dimensions de l’historicité de la révélation, imprimant au discours christologique une configuration dramatique et narrative.

La conception fichtéenne de l’Université n’accueille que les parties exégétique et historique de la théologie, et en exclut tout le reste, soit en le renvoyant dans un autre établissement, soit en l’éliminant purement et simplement. En supprimant ainsi l’unité et la méthode herméneutique de la théologie, Fichte ne rapporte cette discipline à la forme philosophique que comme simple « matière ».

Martin Heidegger’s understanding of art and Paul Ricoeur’s reading of the poetics of existence, developed through his hermeneutics of symbols, metaphor and narrative, open an immense vista to a theological thinking that desires to place primacy on the hearing of the symbolic language of poetry and literature. Beginning a few decades ago, various theologians have ventured along this trajectory, but theology still remains under the dominion of “theoria” and “praxis” and is not very open to “poiesis”. The study presented here (...) revisits the book of J.-P. Manigne on the Poetics of Faith from the 1970s, and the doctoral thesis of A. Thomasset on the Poetics of Morality, from the 1990s, showing how poetic reason provoked theological discourse in the second half of the 20th century. Künstliche Intelligenz (KI), Blockchain, Virtual und Augmented Reality, (Teil-)Autono- mes Fahren, autoregulative Waffensysteme, Enhancement, Reproduktionstechnologien und humanoide Robotik – diese Technologien (und mit ihnen viele weitere) sind schon längst keine spekulativen Zukunftsvisionen mehr, sondern haben bereits Eingang in unser Leben gefunden oder stehen an der Schwelle zum Durchbruch. Die rasanten technologischen Ent- wicklungen wecken ein Orientierungsbedürfnis: Was unterscheidet den Menschen von der Maschine, die menschliche Intelligenz von der Künstlichen Intelligenz, wie weit sollte der Körper verändert werden dürfen, was sind die (...) Gefahren und was sind die Chancen der Tech- nologien? Viele dieser Anfragen werden auch an die Theologie gerichtet. Es wird z. B. nach dem Men- schenbild, nach dem Schöpfungsverständnis, nach einer Ethik der technologischen Körper- eingriffe oder nach dem moralischen Status von Robotern gefragt. Was sagt die Theologie zu diesen technologischen Entwicklungen? Daher ist es höchste Zeit für die Theologie, das Themenfeld der Technologisierung und KI wissenschaftlich zu ergründen und Antworten zu formulieren. Modern society is post-secular: It reflects a broad spectrum of religious and ideological convictions, which flow into the normative self-understanding debates of a deliberative public. The state, on the other hand, is ideologically neutral and in this sense secular. In this respect, the influence of religious convictions on state action and especially on its legislature is increasingly in need of justification. The article discusses the self-image as well as the chances and limits of religious convictions in state-related political consultation, using (...) the example of the participation of theologians in the German Ethics Council. This participation is at the same time an impressive case study for the relationship between morality and law. (shrink)

Tutz Rendtorff develops his ethical theory in tradition ofFriedrich Schleiermacherand Ernst Troeltsch as Ethical Theology. Ethics is understood not simply as catalogue of moral rules, but from the ethical perspective theological issues come into sight. This article's purpose is to demonstrate this. The three basic elements of the ethical realities of life according to Trutz Rendtorff: givenness of life, giving of life, reflection on life, can be interpreted referring to the three main issues of traditional dogmatics: creation, reconciliation, and redemption.

Vatican II a donné le feu vert au rétablissement du diaconat permanent sur fond d’une double préoccupation missionnaire et pastorale. Les Pères conciliaires ont appuyé leur décision sur quelques assertions théologiques qui, par la suite, éclaireront le rétablissement de ce ministère en même temps qu’elles offriront la base de développements théologiques ultérieurs, notamment l’affirmation claire et nette de la sacramentalité. La pratique postconciliaire du diaconat nouvellement rétabli a conduit à un approfondissement théologique de sa sacramentalité à l’intérieur du sacrement de (...) l’ordre. La présente étude veut en tirer les implications pour la question du caractère, la configuration au Christ et l’éventuelle qualification de l’action des diacres in persona Christi ainsi que pour la question des potestates, à savoir des pouvoirs liés à la réception du diaconat. Le ministère diaconal n’engage-t-il pas l’authenticité apostolique de l’Évangile dès lors que l’on prend acte de l’effet instituant et habilitant de l’ordination diaconale? L’auteur conclut alors en reconnaissant les diacres comme des garants officiels de la diaconie exercée au nom du Christ et avec son autorité. (shrink)

Theologian Erik Peterson’s thesis concerning the rupture of Christian theology away from the Greek and Roman pagan theologico-political problem and from Israel’s monotheism is well-founded theologically but historically problematic. This paper offers a critical analysis of this situation by exposing specifically Christian concepts for a political theology. These concepts have determined the permanence and flexibility of political theology since Constantine’s Empire up to contemporary liberal democracies.

English summary: Hermeneutical theology is the abridged form of a theological agenda which is closely linked to the names of Rudolf Bultmann, Ernst Fuchs, Gerhard Ebeling and Eberhard Jungel. The authors of this volume analyze the origins, problems, similarities and differences within this theological movement, examine their arguments and question their significance for the present. In doing so, they trace the connection to the theology of the word of God and 20th century existential hermeneutics as well as to present day (...) event hermeneutics. German description: Hermeneutische Theologie ist die Kurzformel eines theologischen Programms, das eng mit den Namen Rudolf Bultmann, Ernst Fuchs, Gerhard Ebeling und Eberhard Jungel verbunden ist.
