  1. Reading Wittgenstein (on Belief) with Tillich (on Doubt).Gorazd Andrejč - 2015 - Neue Zeitschrift für Systematicsche Theologie Und Religionsphilosophie 57 (1):60-86.
In this paper, I explore the possibility of reading Wittgenstein’s understanding of religious belief with Tillich’s concept of existential/religious doubt, especially as developed in his Dynamics of Faith. I argue, first, that Wittgenstein’s understanding of religious belief as a deep certainty of a grammatical remark is not the same as his understanding of hinge-certainty of “hinge propositions”, and that the relevant difference is that Wittgenstein leaves room for the possibility of doubt in the former but not in the latter. Second, (...)

Philosophy of education in a new key: On radicalization and violent extremism.Mitja Sardoč, C. A. J. Coady, Vittorio Bufacchi, Fathali M. Moghaddam, Quassim Cassam, Derek Silva, Nenad Miščević, Gorazd Andrejč, Zdenko Kodelja, Boris Vezjak, Michael A. Peters & Marek Tesar - 2022 - Educational Philosophy and Theory 54 (8):1162-1177.
This collective paper on radicalization and violent extremism part of the ‘Philosophy of education in a new key’ initiative by Educational Philosophy and Theory brings together some of the leading contemporary scholars writing on the most pressing epistemological, ethical, political and educational issues facing post-9/11 scholarship on radicalization and violent extremism. Its overall aim is to move beyond the ‘conventional wisdom’ associated with this area of scholarly research best represented by its many slogans, metaphors and other thought-terminating clichés. By providing (...)

One of the virtues of this edited collection is the diversity contained within it. There is diversity to be found in the uses made of Wittgenstein's writings, reflecting the diversity of ways of understanding religion found in Wittgenstein's work. Andrejč, in his introduction (3), suggests that there are four dominant ways in which Wittgenstein depicts religion: the nonsensicalist, existentialist, grammaticalist and instinctivist conceptions of religion.

Hugo Grotius in razvoj teorij naravnega prava.
Vendar pa avtor zagovarja trditev, daje resnične začetke in konceptualne vire modernih teorij naravnega prava iskati v zgodnji sholastiki 12. stoletja, ob uvajanju in zgodnjem razvoju kanonskega prava. Ogleda si tudi kritiko naravnega prava v obdobju renesanse, zatem pa obravnava teorijo naravnega prava Huga Grotiusa in opredeli njen zgodovinski novum ter oriše njeno konceptualno polje, sicer (...)

    Arendt’s Break with the Liberal Imaginary of Society.Gorazd Kovačič - 2021 - Filozofski Vestnik 42 (1).
The first part of the article analyses the imaginary of the characteristics and form of society as developed in early modern liberal political philosophy, especially by John Locke and Thomas Paine. It uses different contemporary receptions of the key authors of this tradition, namely the liberal reception of John Keane, which emphasizes the theoretical distinction between civil society and the state, the materialist reception of Ellen Meiksins Wood, which contextualizes political ideas in the political struggles and class interests of the (...)

    Apophatic Philosophy. Beyond Phenomenology?Tadej Rifel - 2021 - Philotheos 21 (2):168-178.
An expression apophatic philosophy can be understood as an appropriate synonym for a more traditional expression apophatic theology. Traditional philosophical views on the mystery of God created besides its mere rational reflection also thought which is over-rational but definitely not antirational. It can be found in texts in the field of mysticism, both religious and philosophical. Classical Greek culture joined with Christian faith. Therefore, we cannot talk about it as an individual entity being separated by these two worlds. Athens can (...)
