RESUMEN La identidad humana puede ser interpretada de muy diversas maneras. El artículo explora, en primer lugar, los fundamentos de la crítica heideggeriana a la idea de "sujeto" como categoría apropiada para la existencia humana; en segundo lugar, y al hilo de esa crítica, señala algunos momentos relevantes que configuran la identidad pensada no ya como subiectum, sino como unidad histórico-acontecida. ABSTRACT Human identity may be interpreted in very different ways. The article starts out by examining the foundations of Heidegger's (...) critique of the idea of "subject" as an appropriate category for human existence. In line with that critique, it then goes on to point out some of the relevant moments that constitute identity, no longer conceived as subiectum, but rather as a historical unity that has come into being as an event. The relationship between John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth is defined by most New Testament scholars and historians of Christianity in terms such as “contrast”, “radical difference” or “parting of the ways”. This article aims at reviewing in a detailed way the many phenomenological parallels that the sources permit to establish between these Palestinian preachers of the first half of the 1st century c.e. (a task which has virtually not been made before). i will also reconsider some supposed differences (...) which, according to most scholars, imply the existence of a contrast between them, and i will argue that these differences do not exist or are not important enough to build a contrastive image. in this way, i aim at showing that the idea of a sharp opposition between John and Jesus is an untenable view and the result of a distortion of the available data due to ideological (more specifically, theological) prejudices. Neste texto, proponho-me a acompanhar as linhas fundamentais da interpretação de Hegel no livro Homo modernus, de Denise Ferreira da Silva. A interpretação de Hegel oferecida pela autora é profunda e original, mas é completamente ignorada na literatura sobre Hegel a nível nacional e internacional. Tentarei mostrar o papel central que o pensamento de Hegel desempenha no contexto do projeto de Ferreira da Silva em Homo modernus e destacarei dois temas de refl exão que me parecem relevantes dentro do âmbito (...) dos estudos hegelianos. In this paper, I suggest that Hegel’s concept of sensation can be fruitfully read against the background of the recent distinction between state vs. content nonconceptualism. I) I provide a brief outline of the distinctions that characterize the debate between state and content nonconceptualism. II) I discuss Hegel’s concept of sensation, arguing that Hegel’s concept of sensation is compatible with a certain version of content conceptualism that is combined with a ‘weak’ state nonconceptualism for adult, rational subjects and with a (...) ‘strong’ state nonconceptualism for non-rational animals and infants. III) I conclude my paper by illustrating some features of Hegel’s conception of mental content starting from distinctions that characterize the debate on state vs. content nonconceptualism. (shrink)

In this paper, I shall investigate whether Hegel can be considered as a sort of ancestor of McDowell’s disjunctivism. If this hypothesis turns out to be plausible, then the paper offers two gains. On the one hand, it offers an innovative interpretation of the way in which Hegel conceives of our sensible epistemic access to the world. On the other hand, McDowell's own claim that his own theoretical proposal has a Hegelian sound is supported by a previously unexplored argument. I (...) organize my analysis into three parts: I sketch McDowell’s version of disjunctivism (Section 2); I analyze some passages from Hegel that I believe are important for showing some similarities between his and McDowell’s argumentative strategy (Section 3); in the conclusion (Section 4), I highlight a number of core features that Hegel seems to share with McDowell’s disjunctivism and I submit that they are sufficient to label Hegel the “grandfather” of McDowell's disjunctivism. RESUMO:É notório que, em sua discussão da questão da verdade, Hegel distingue dois termos técnicos, correção (Richtigkeit) e verdade (Wahrheit). É notório também que, entre os dois conceitos, Hegel considera o conceito de verdade como aquele filosoficamente mais relevante. Por este motivo, diferentemente do conceito de verdade, tem sido objeto dedebate se Hegel teria considerado o conceito de correção como possuindo alguma função teórica positiva no contexto do seu pensamento maduro. Neste artigo defenderei a tese segundo a qual Hegel teria (...) formulado uma série de reflexões coerentes acerca do conceito de correção que resultam relevantes no contexto do seu pensamento maduro, mesmo concedendo que tais reflexões não tenham sido desenvolvidas na forma de umateoria explícita, autônoma e separada da teoria da verdade. O meu objetivo é tentar resgatar a significação positiva das considerações hegelianas acerca da correção sem superestimar seu alcance e seu estatuto teórico. Abstract:It is known that, in his discussion of the question about truth, Hegel distinguishes between two technical terms: correctness (Richtigkeit) and truth (Wahrheit). It is also known that Hegel considers the concept of truth as being philosophically more relevant than the concept of correctness. For this reason, scholars have asked themselves whether or not Hegel considered his concept of correctness as having any theoretical value within the context of his mature system. In this paper I will claim that Hegel puts forward a series of coherent views about correctness thatare relevant for his mature thinking, even though he did not develop these views as an explicit, autonomous theory of correctness which is separated from his theory of truth. My aim is to try to highlight the positive meaning of Hegel’s reflections about correctness without overestimating its reach. (shrink)

Hay muchas combinaciones del Urbanismo con los Juegos, pero los temas para entender las ciudades, su planeamiento, proyecto y gobierno, suelen tener gran complejidad. Este trabajo presenta la aplicación de un juego de grupo que motive los estudiantes de Arquitectura para los conocimientos integrados del Urbanismo. La experiencia de la actividad lúdica, ampliada por algunos ejercicios académicos en continuidad, permite discutir varias cuestiones relevantes, la escala, los indicadores y aspectos de economía y medio ambiente. Los resultados demuestran que hay aún (...) el potencial para mejorar las prácticas profesionales, en especial en la gestión urbanística y territorial. (shrink)

Não há mais como pensar as questões filosóficas fundamentais, e o modo com que elas afetam a nossa compreensão do nosso mundo, de seus problemas e de seus dilemas, sem pensar a filosofia para além de uma visão eurocêntrica e colonialista da mesma. É com essa perspectiva em mente que esse dossiê foi feito, visando mostrar como uma abordagem intercultural na filosofia é fundamental para se refletir sobre questões fundamentais da atualidade, tais como a relação entre tradição e modernidade na (...) China contemporânea ; e o papel da transdisciplinariedade na constituição de uma concepção de conhecimento e de um ensino do mesmo que fujam à hiperespecialização e fragmentação modernas. Além disso, o dossiê também conta com artigos que mostram como fazer filosofia interculturalmente não significa negar o papel, a relevância ou a complexidade da filosofia “ocidental” e de suas ramificações; pelo contrário, significa tanto entender bem onde tradições não-ocidentais de filosofia, como as da Escola de Kyoto, têm uma relação central e indispensável com alguns dos principais pilares da filosofia “ocidental”, como também compreender o quanto a própria filosofía ocidental deve ser estudada e compreendida em toda a sua complexidade e profundidade, a fim de que se possa de fato não apenas pensar contra ela, onde ela se mostra “monológica”, mas também reconhecer o quanto ela é em si mesma plural, complexa e diversa, contendo tensões e dissidências em si mesma que permitem pensar, com ela, para além dela. Tendo essa visão geral da proposta deste dossiê em mente, torna-se pertinente agora esmiuçar mais detalhadamente a contribuição individual de cada artigo para esta coletânea. (shrink)

O texto estrutura-se como um relato de experiência acerca das implicações da pesquisa autoetnográfica, associada ao conceito de exotopia proposto por Bakhtin (2010) em dissertação de mestrado profissional em Letras (PROFLETRAS). A pesquisa envolveu a atividade de revisão e reescrita em sala de aula, com alunos do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental II, com o intuito de trabalhar a produção de textos como experiência subjetiva e dialógica com a língua(gem). A autoetnografia e a exotopia, interligadas pelo conceito dialógico na perspectiva (...) bakhtiniana, tornaram-se métodos e procedimentos fundamentais para o desenvolvimento das atividades didáticas em que os papeis de professora e pesquisadora fundiam-se na busca da resolução de problemas junto aos alunos participantes dessa experiência. The purpose of this analysis is to point out some elements of the Western tradition, as opposed to elements of the Eastern tradition, which enable us to better understand the possible consequences of China's unconditional assimilation of these fundamental aspects of the Western tradition. In this direction, I anticipate the main purpose of this text, which is, in my view, to explain the reasons why it is not possible for China to simply assume Western “values” as a natural consequence of (...) opening up to the market economy, without having to give up of what makes it what it is. The task, therefore, is to think about the relationship between modernity and tradition in China today, based on a certain conception of “modernity”, without disregarding, but also, without problematizing, the intense debate that has already occurred around the question itself. Al hilo de la estética kantiana, de sus supuestos y de los problemas que ella deja sin resolver, este trabajo intenta despejar el concepto de apariencia estética en Schiller. La definición schilleriana de la belleza como "libertad en la apariencia", no solamente constituye una original prosecución del primado de la razón práctica y de la libertad en Kant, sino que además constituye una peculiar reinvindicación de la apariencia sobre la misma "realidad". Sin embargo, Schiller se esfuerza en mantener y conciliar (...) la específica ambigüedad del término "apariencia": libertad en la apariencia es, al mismo tiempo, libertad aparente y libertad aparecida. Se realiza un análisis de los proyectos a innovaciones educativas financiados en la Universidad de la República, Uruguay. Se presenta el perfil de los docentes innovadores, los problemas y los elementos de virtualidad presentes en los proyectos. Se encontró que se ha trabajado con cuestiones de virtualidad en los proyectos financiados, favoreciendo la enseñanza en línea durante la pandemia.

Hegel’s definition of music as Kunst des Gemüts do not refer to the simple expression of feelings, but to the fact that only the music is directed to the self, the self as such, absolutely. That music is not only expression of particular feelings, but of pure feeling or subjectivity itself, is based on the most decisive feature that share music and soul: the temporality. Music expresses the self in its radically temporal essence. It is not necessary to emphasize the (...) metaphysical function that follows from this conception of music. El presente artículo pretende dar cuenta de la concepción heideggeriana de la muerte, para ello se articula en cuatro momentos. En primer lugar se establece en qué sentido la muerte es un fenómeno de la vida, y no su mero término. En segundo lugar se explica la muerte como posibilidad, como un "aún no", fundado en un pertenecer. En tercer lugar, se establece que la proyección existenciaria de la propia muerte revela a ésta en su verdad irreductible. Finalmente, la libertad (...) para la muerte es comprendida como una abrirse a ella, por cuanto "libertad" debe ser interpretada en el sentido de "liberar", "abrir". (shrink)

This book presents a comprehensive and detailed exploration of the relationship between the thought of G.W.F. Hegel and that of John McDowell, the latter of whom is widely considered to be one of the most influential living analytic philosophers. It serves as a point of entry in McDowell’s and Hegel’s philosophy, and a substantial contribution to ongoing debates on perceptual experience and perceptual justification, naturalism, human freedom and action. The chapters gathered in this volume, as well as McDowell’s responses, make (...) it clear that McDowell’s work paves the way for an original reading of Hegel’s texts. His conceptual framework allows for new interpretive possibilities in Hegel’s philosophy which, until now, have remained largely unexplored. Moreover, these interpretations shed light on various aspects of continuity and discontinuity between the philosophies of these two authors, thus defining more clearly their positions on specific issues. In addition, they allow us to see Hegel’s thought as containing a number of conceptual tools that might be useful for advancing McDowell’s own philosophy and contemporary philosophy in general. This Article considers the conditions under which administrative agencies - particularly those with public health-related missions - may obtain partial autonomy from external interests or politicians. In the process, it critiques the proposition that administrative agencies in advanced industrialized countries such as the United States are routinely “captured” by external economic interests. Through case studies and the application of relevant theory from law and the study of political organization, the Article describes how agencies can produce a measure of autonomy by (...) forging coalitions of stakeholders both internal and external to the agency, and considers how partial autonomy may be modeled as a strategic process involving decisions under uncertainty. The Article then investigates how American publichealth agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration, the Food Safety Inspection Service, and the Centers for Disease Control have been able to use their partial autonomy to develop significant health policy innovations. Although agencies are by no means guaranteed even a partial degree of autonomy, they are nonetheless capable of affecting their political and legal environment, with consequences not only for public-health policy but also for the legitimacy of the nation-state. El artículo explora la forma estética de las ruinas como una poética del tiempo donde se articulan fuerzas contrapuestas que configuran una singular vivencia de la historicidad humana. Orientándose por las indicaciones de Martin Heidegger y Georg Simmel, reflexiona acerca de valor estético-existencial de las ruinas y su réplica subjetiva en el sentimiento de nostalgia, así como su importancia para el reconocimiento de la unidad narrativa de la existencia humana.

Il presente lavoro si propone di colmare una lacuna negli studi hegeliani analizzando in dettaglio il concetto e la teoria della sensazione di Hegel. Esso si prefigge, da un lato, di restituire il contesto sistematico entro cui Hegel discute tale concetto, fornendo un’interpretazione dei paragrafi dell’Enciclopedia ad esso dedicati; dall’altro, esso mira a fornire una ricostruzione razionale della teoria hegeliana della sensazione a partire dalla questione teorica dell’accesso epistemico del pensiero al mondo. Tale ricostruzione ruota attorno al tentativo hegeliano di (...) conciliare e rendere compatibili all’interno del proprio sistema l’istanza di un riferimento passivo a un mondo esterno e una concezione autoreferenziale del pensiero. ABSTRACT In this paper I will provide a reading of the relation between nature and spirit starting from an analysis of the movement of positing and presupposing, discussed by Hegel in the "Science of Logic" in his discussion of the transition between Being and Essence. 1) I will offer an analysis of the logical context within which this dialectical movement emerges. 2) I will show the role played by this dialectical movement in determining the relation between the spheres of nature (...) and spirit in Hegelʼs "Encyclopedia". 3) I will then claim that a difficulty related to this movement arises in the "Logic", and that this difficulty reverberates in the relation between nature and spirit in Hegel's system. In particular, 4) an ambiguity arising at a logical level generates two different configurations of this movement, depending on whether the latter is meant to describe the relation of 4.1) the finite or of 4.2) the infinite spirit to nature. 5) I will finally focus on some problems deriving from my reconstruction and I will try to suggest - in very general and programmatic terms - in what sense the internal analysis of the relation between nature and spirit in Hegelʼs system can be fruitfully discussed against the dominant framework of the contemporary debate, i.e. naturalism. However, this suggestion does not necessarily imply an endorsement of Hegel's position. RESUMO Neste artigo, proponho-me a fornecer uma leitura da relação entre natureza e espírito a partir de uma análise do movimento de pôr e pressupor descrito por Hegel na "Ciência da Lógica", na passagem do Ser à Essência. 1) Analisarei o contexto lógico dentro do qual surge o movimento de pôr e pressupor. 2) Mostrarei o papel deste movimento dialético na determinação da relação entre as esferas da natureza e do espírito na "Enciclopédia" de Hegel. 3) Destacarei uma dificuldade que emerge na "Lógica" e mostrarei como esta dificuldade tem repercussões sobre a relação entre natureza e espírito no sistema de Hegel. Em particular, 4) uma ambiguidade que emerge no nível lógico gera duas diferentes configurações deste movimento, dependendo de se ele descreve 4.1) a relação do espírito finito ou 4.2) a relação do espírito infinito com a natureza. 5) Na última parte, mostrarei alguns problemas que derivam de minha reconstrução e tentarei sugerir - em termos gerais e programáticos - em que sentido uma análise interna da relação entre natureza e espírito em Hegel pode ser proficuamente discutida com respeito ao paradigma dominante do debate contemporâneo, isto é, o naturalismo.
