In this chapter, a new type Hyper groups are defined, corresponding basic properties and examples for new type Hyper groups are given and proved. Moreover, new type Hypergroups groups and are compared to hyper groups and groups. New type Hyper groups are shown to have a more general structure according to Hyper groups and groups. Also, new type SuperHyper groups are defined, corresponding basic properties and examples for new type SuperHyper are given and proved. How strongly an agent beliefs in a proposition can be represented by her degree of belief in that proposition. According to the orthodox Bayesian picture, an agent's degree of belief is best represented by a single probability function. On an alternative account, an agent’s beliefs are modeled based on a set of probability functions, called imprecise probabilities. Recently, however, imprecise probabilities have come under attack. Adam Elga claims that there is no adequate account of the way they can be manifested (...) in decision-making. In response to Elga, more elaborate accounts of the imprecise framework have been developed. One of them is based on supervaluationism, originally, a semantic approach to vague predicates. Still, Seamus Bradley shows that some of those accounts that solve Elga’s problem, have a more severe defect: they undermine a central motivation for introducing imprecise probabilities in the first place. In this paper, I modify the supervaluationist approach in such a way that it accounts for both Elga’s and Bradley’s challenges to the imprecise framework. (shrink)

In view of the failures made in the past, the necessity of a reform of the old-age pension scheme is pointed out and biblically proved. The new positions of women and men demand ·the organization of an independent social protection of the housewife and mother, the decrease in births the further development of the two-generations-contract to a three-generations-contract. The commonly agreed old-age pension ·reform of 1992 is measured against these elaborated exigencies and criticized in crucial points at issue.

Recently, Wilcox (JGPS 51: 65–87, 2020) argued against the so-called wide interval view and in favor of the principle of indifference as the correct response to unspecific evidence. Embedded in a formal model of the beliefs of an agent, the former presupposes imprecise probabilities and the latter numerically precise degrees of belief. His argument is illustrated by a thought experiment that comes with a fundamental intuition. According to Wilcox, the wide interval view is incompatible with this intuition and, thus, undermined. In contrast, I show that the intuition behind the thought experiment is, in fact, compatible with the wide interval view if it is embedded into a specific conception of imprecise probabilities as model of belief. This conception is an extension of a framework which I call modified supervaluationism (MSV) and which I recently presented elsewhere (Karge 2021, 175–191). To accommodate the thought experiment’s fundamental intuition, it introduces a notion of second-order beliefs. (shrink)

The article discusses the reasons for the construction, in the 1960s, of memorial to the victims of the former camp in Jasenovac in Yugoslavia, although no such memorial was built at the Sajmiste site. How should we explain and understand this difference and what do these two sites stand for in Yugoslav discourses about the past? I will argue that the memorial project for Jasenovac was, due to certain developments, seen as a substitute for similar plans at nearly all the (...) former camp locations in Yugoslavia. Because of this substitution, after the mid 1960s none of the other concentration camp sites in the country benefited from federal financing and thus all of them were excluded from having a real chance at being made into a proper memorial site. Tekst razmatra razloge za izgradnju spomen-podrucja posvecenog zrtvama logora Jasenovac u Jugoslaviji tokom sezdesetih godina XX veka, iako takav spomenik nije podignut na mestu logora na Sajmistu. Kako da objasnimo i razumemo tu razliku i koje je mesto ta dva logora u jugoslovenskim diskursima o proslosti? Tvrdim da je, zahvaljujuci odredjenim kretanjima, projekat za Jasenovac bio sagledavan kao zamena za slicne planove za bezmalo sva mesta gde su se nalazili logori u Jugoslaviji. Zbog te zamene, nakon sredine sezdesetih godina XX veka nijedno podrucje gde su se nalazili koncentracioni logori u zemlji nije dobilo saveznu finansijsku potporu, pa je svima njima uskracena mogucnost da budu pretvorena u odgovarajuce mesto secanja. We introduce a framework that allows for the construction of sequent systems for expressive description logics extending ALC. Our framework not only covers a wide array of common description logics, but also allows for sequent systems to be obtained for extensions of description logics with special formulae that we call "role relational axioms." All sequent systems are sound, complete, and possess favorable properties such as height-preserving admissibility of common structural rules and height-preserving invertibility of rules.

Consecrated women religious have been shown to be at increased risk for uterine and ovarian cancers. The authors critique a proposal by Kara Britt and Roger Short advocating the distribution of a combined oral contraceptive to women religious as a way of reducing this risk. The authors argue that the proposal is seriously flawed: the data it references attenuate its conclusion, the execution protocol is incomplete, and the proposal fails to address the serious health risks of combined oral contraceptives. Neutrosophic set has been derived from a new branch of philosophy, namely Neutrosophy. Neutrosophic set is capable of dealing with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information. Neutrosophic set approaches are suitable to modeling problems with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information in which human knowledge is necessary, and human evaluation is needed. Neutrosophic set theory firstly proposed in 1998 by Florentin Smarandache, who also developed the concept of single valued neutrosophic set, oriented towards real world scientific and engineering applications. Jedem drängt sich die massive, objektiv kaum zu bezweifelnde und sogar anschaulich gegebene Gewissheit ins Bewusstsein, einst geworden und daher nicht immer schon gewesen zu sein und einmal zu vergehen, das heißt nicht unbegrenzt weiterexistieren zu können. Dennoch gibt es in der gesamten Philosophie und Wissenschaftsgeschichte europäischer Prägung kaum eine andere dem Thema Werden und Vergehen in seiner ganzen Ausdehnung gewidmete Abhandlung, die diesen der Natur so tief eingewurzelten Sachverhalt einer philosophischen Analyse und wissenschaftlichen Beschreibung zugänglich macht. Das erste Buch (...) erörtert Gegebenheit und Begriff der unterschiedlichen Arten von Vorgängen ; das zweite Buch dagegen handelt von der Verursachung der Vorgangsart des Werdens und Vergehens und ihren Bedingungen. Aristoteles ist es gelungen, eine unter philosophischem Aspekt heute noch lehrreiche wissenschaftliche Erkundung, theoretische Beschreibung und ursächliche Erklärung des Werdens und Vergehens sowie seiner allgemeinen und speziellen Rahmenbedingungen vorzulegen, auch wenn in der konkreten Ausgestaltung das meiste davon auf völlig falschen Prämissen über die Natur des Universums beruht. Textgrundlage für die Übersetzung ist Harold H. Joachims zuerst 1922 erschienene Oxforder Standardausgabe des griechischen Textes. Die Textgestalt im einzelnen wurde durchgehend verglichen mit der rezenten Ausgabe des griechischen Textes von Marwan Rashed und war vor diesem Hintergrund an vielen Stellen neu zu beurteilen, was in nicht wenigen Punkten zu stets kenntlich gemachten Abweichungen von Joachims Vorlage geführt hat. Die Übersetzung folgt nach Möglichkeit zeilengetreu ihrer griechischen Vorlage und versucht, die karge bis abweisende Sprachdiät des Originals nicht durch reichhaltigeren und geschliffenen Ausdruck im Deutschen auszugleichen, sondern vielmehr auch in der Übersetzungssprache spürbar zu halten. Auf diese Weise wird die Durchsichtigkeit von Struktur und Duktus des Gedankens weitgehend so wie im Griechischen bewahrt. Der Grund für die Bemühung um eine möglichst genaue Abbildung des Originals in einer anderen Sprache liegt darin, dass die deutsche Werkausgabe ohne den griechischen Text auskommen muss und dennoch eine wissenschaftlich zureichende Grundlage für die Interpretation des aristotelischen Gedankens bieten soll. Wünschenswert ist außerdem, dass Leser, die nicht genügend des Griechischen mächtig sind, nicht nur zuverlässig über den Sinn des Originals orientiert, sondern instand gesetzt werden, auch an der weltweit ausgedehnten Forschungsdiskussion mit gewisser Urteilsfähigkeit teilzunehmen. Da in dieser Forschungsdiskussion über Aristoteles sehr oft die Berufung auf einzelne Begriffe oder bestimmte Wendungen eine wichtige Rolle spielt, sollte die Übersetzung nach Möglichkeit den tatsächlichen Wortbestand widerspiegeln, den der griechische Originaltext bietet.
