Kant, Schleiermacher, Hegel puis Feuerbach, Marx, Freud ou, plus près de nous, Jacques Bouveresse et Régis Debray : la philosophie de la religion s'est instituée avec la modernité pour tâcher de définir quelle peut être l'essence du fait religieux. Dans le sillage des Lumières, ses principaux représentants ont considéré comme un préalable absolu à leurs travaux la négation de la Révélation. Rien n'est moins sûr qu'ils aient eu raison. A preuve, sous les feux de l'actualité, le besoin d'une herméneutique intégrale (...) est toujours plus pressant. C'est à cette tâche que, au bout d'une vie consacrée à penser, s'est attelé le cardinal Cottier qui a longtemps exercé le métier unique de "théologien du pape" qui consiste à être l'ultime interlocuteur de l'évêque de Rome pour tout ce qui relève de la doctrine. Revenant de manière innovante à l'épistémologie élaborée par Thomas d'Aquin, qui n'entend rien ignorer ni de la raison ni de la foi, le dernier grand témoin de Vatican II montre ici que cette disjonction est contingente et que cette discipline représente une branche féconde et prometteuse du savoir philosophique, qui attend d'être pleinement développée. Un essai décisif pour un début de siècle tourmenté par le retour du religieux que doivent lire d'urgence tous ceux qui sont soucieux de refonder la culture humaniste dans son universalité. (shrink)

Apoyándonos en la novela del escritor japonés Kawabata, titulada en su versión francesa Nuée d’oiseaux blancs (Nube de pájaras blancos), trataremos de mostrar cómo el deseo se encarna en determinadas huellas depositadas sobre objetos, y cómo la mirada del personaje masculino queda prendida en ellas (...) al extremo de perderse por entero en aquellas. In this article, we present research in the making of a collective work environment within the framework of a distance education course. We base our theoretical and methodological standpoints on examples of dialogical discourses recorded within the framework of this CSCL system called Symba. In fact, the results of previous research lead us to rethink our vision of the study of collaborative moments between participants in a computer-supported human learning environment that proposes several communication tools. Redefining the methodological process aiming (...) at finding and understanding these rich learning moments is also necessary. We intend to describe “socio-technical” instances during which these collaboration phases appear. More generally speaking, our aim is to draw up both new theoretical and methodological perspectives that would be reusable in CSCL environments; in view of the nature of these two perspectives, and the diversity of the domain knowledge (sociology, cognitivism, linguistics, philosophy, statistics, etc.) brought to bear in the study of the environment in question, our approach constitutes a trans-disciplinary reassessment of the uses of the communication tools—and the study thereof—proposed. In the closed wards of mental health institutions, moral decisions are made concerning the use of forced seclusion. In this article we focus on how these moral decisions are made and can be improved. We present a case study concerning moral deliberations on the use of seclusion and its prevention among nurses of a closed mental health ward. Moral psychology provides an explanation of how moral judgments are developed through processes of interaction. We will make use of the Social Intuitionist (...) Model of Jonathan Haidt that emphasizes the role of emotions, intuitions and the social context in moral judgments and reasoning. We argue that this model can help to explain social dynamics in the context of enforced seclusion. In the discussion we explore how moral psychology can be complemented with the normative perspective of dialogical ethics to develop strategies for improving psychiatric practices. We conclude that social processes play an important role in moral deliberations and that moral development can be fostered by bringing in new perspectives in the dialogue. Moral case deliberation provides a practical tool to systematically organize moral reflections among nurses on the work floor. (shrink)

Although the literature on corporate social responsibility has discussed the scope and meaning of CSR extensively, confusion still exists regarding how to define the concept. One controversial issue deals with the changing legal status of CSR. Based on a review of CSR definitions and meta-studies on CSR definitions, we find that the majority of definitions leans toward voluntary CSR. However, some recent regulatory amendments toward mandatory CSR have called into question the established idea of CSR as merely a managerial tool (...) of self-regulation. In this paper, we juxtapose the evolution of CSR in India against the scholarly literature discussing voluntary-versus-mandatory CSR to understand the recent shift toward a new conceptualization of CSR as a form of co-regulation that includes elements of both voluntary and mandatory regulation. The Indian Companies Act 2013 is a remarkable example in that it replaced an older version from 1956, taking a bold step toward the integration of voluntary and mandatory aspects in the application of CSR. We present practical implications of the Indian case for businesses and discuss implications for CSR theory development; we particularly consider the evolution of the business and society relationship from a voluntary soft law approach to CSR to an increasingly hard law approach and transitory hybrid forms in-between like soft–hard law and hard–soft law.
