    László Tengelyi’s Phenomenological Metaphysics of the World.Аndrei Patkul - 2020 - Studies in Transcendental Philosophy 1 (2-3).
In my paper, I reconstruct the basic features of the metaphysical conception of the world in László Tengelyi. I outline that he understands the world and its existence as a fact. In opposition to traditional ontology, Tengelyi believes that the fact of the world is of necessary. However, its necessity is not of logical a priori nature but conditioned by the concordance of experience. One ought to point out that the Tengelyi’s phenomenological metaphysics of the world is limited by the (...)

The Infinity of the World (Book Review Tengelyi L. Welt und Unendlichkeit. Zum Problem phänomenologischer Metaphysik. 3. Aufl. Freiburg/München: Karl Alber Verlag, 2015. 604 S. ISBN (PDF-E-Book): 978-3-495-86049-6). [REVIEW]Аndrei Patkul - 2020 - Studies in Transcendental Philosophy 1 (2-3).
In my review, I survey the main content of L. Tengeli's book World and Infinity, reconstruct its structure and discuss the author’s research results in the field of phenomenology of the world, presented in it. In particular, I note here that Tengelyi conducts a detailed criticism of onto-theology, starting from the problem of the katholo-protological structure of metaphysics in Aristotle. He outlines Husserl’s doctrine of primordial facts and Heidegger’s idea of metontology. In addition, here I give a relatively detailed description (...)

  5. DAS AUßER-SICH-SEIN BEI SCHELLING UND HEIDEGGER.Andrei Patkul - 2015 - HORIZON. Studies in Phenomenology 4 (2):121-138.
The author of the article framed the question of the possible relevance of the treatment of the Schelling's philosophy in the context of a phenomenological one. Thereby, he points its problematic character, referencing Husserl's treatment of German idealism after Kant (including the thought of Schelling) as the romantic idealism. At the same time, he also states the influence of Schelling on the few phenomenologists who made their careers after Husserl. The article's author reviews the concept of the «being outside-itself» or (...)

Vasily Sesemann’s Review of “Being and Time” of Martin Heidegger: analytical commentary.Andrei B. Patkul & Паткуль Андрей Борисович - 2023 - RUDN Journal of Philosophy 27 (1):7-18.
In my paper, I give an analytical commentary on Vasily Sesemann’s review of Martin Heidegger's treatise Being and Time (1927) published in the journal entitled The Way in 1928. The aim of this commentary is to evaluate the adequacy of Sesemann’s perception of Heidegger’s thought and the acceptability of his review for today’s reception of the Heideggerian ontological project. In my text, I state that Sesemann accurately fixes the transcendent essence of Heidegger’s ontological investigation, its basic theme and the main (...)

In my review, I evaluate the first translation of Dale Jacquette’s book entitled Alexius Meinong, The Shepherd of Non-Being into Russian. First of all, I point out the relevance of the publication of this translation. It is conditioned, in my view, by the fact that the person of Alexius Meinong—one of the important representatives of the school of Franz Brentano—still remains undeservedly forgotten and not enough studied in both domestic and foreign history of philosophy. At the same time, studying the (...)

    Phenomenology and Scientific Knowledge.Andrei B. Patkul - 2016 - Russian Studies in Philosophy 54 (1):76-92.
This article explores the possibility of a phenomenological method in the field of philosophy of science. It reconstructs the idea of scienticity, which is significant both for philosophy as a science and for philosophy's relationship to nonphilosophical sciences. The concepts of intentionality, eidetic objectness, and absolute evidence are discussed as conditions for the possibility of philosophy as a rigorous science. The concepts of constituting, objectivation, and regional ontology are examined in the context of the possibility of founding of sciences with (...)

ANASTASIYA MEDOVA PHENOMENOLOGY OF MUSICAL EXPERIENCE Krasnoyarsk, Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science & Technology; Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University named after V.P.Astafiev, 2021. In my review, I analyze the main theses of Anastasiya Medova’s monograph entitled Phenomenology of Musical Experience (2021). The author of the book raises the issue of what it is that we generally hear as music, as well as many directly or indirectly related other issues with regard to both the essence and the ontological status of music. According to her, it is only the phenomenological methodology that can provide an answer to these questions, which deals with the specifics of (...)
