Personality is a relatively regular habit of a person. It exerts a specific influence on personal behavior and the corresponding results. At the same time, personality can provide a certain degree of explanation for the differences among individuals in behavior and the related consequences. Economic differences are one of the discrepancies that exist among individuals. In order to explore the quantitative relationship between personality and individual income, this study takes 376 active employees of Chinese startups as the primary research objects. (...)

  7. Alliance of Philosophy and Religion from Farabi’s View.Sina Salari Khorram & Mohammad Kazem Elmi Sola - 2013 - پژوهشنامه فلسفه دین 11 (1):47-60.
The present article is trying to study the alliance of religion and philosophy, from Farabi's view, by citing to his works. In this regard, first, we analyzed the historical reasons for the need for philosophy, then we will introduce the Farabi's purposes for constitution of this alliance, through which the necessity of this alliance becomes clear. The main claim of the article is that Farabi correlates the two through two different ways. The first depends upon the historical procedure of the (...)

The worldwide investigating nurses’ attitudes towards do-not-resuscitate order: a review. [REVIEW]Nader Salari, Alireza Abdi, Rostam Jalali, Samira Raoofi & Neda Raoofi - 2021 - Philosophy, Ethics, and Humanities in Medicine 16 (1):1-10.
BackgroundThe acceptance or practical application of the do-not-resuscitate order is substantially dependent on internal or personal factors; in a way that decision-making about this issue can be specific to each person. Moreover, most nurses feel morally and emotionally stressed and confused during the process decision-making regarding DNR order. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to evaluate nurses’ attitudes towards DNR order in a systematic review.MethodsThis critical survey was conducted using a systematic review protocol. To this end, the most (...)

Loss of control is not necessary to induce behavioral consequences of deprivation: The case of religious fasting during Ramadan.Mostafa Salari Rad & Jeremy Ginges - 2017 - Behavioral and Brain Sciences 40.
Pepper & Nettle argue that the more present-oriented behavior associated with a low socioeconomic status is an adaptive response to having relatively little control over the future. However, a study of fasters during Ramadan shows that self-imposed deprivation, which carries no implications regarding the ability to realize deferred rewards, is associated with loss and risk aversion.

Cultural determinants of technology transfer - a case study in human resources planning for steel production.Felix Rauner & Djavad Salari - 2003 - AI and Society 17 (3-4):266-277.
Technology transfer (TT) is a highly complex problem in development cooperation. Case studies that ITB has conducted in various projects focusing on automobile and steel production as well as in the machine tool sector indicate that the multi-dimensionality of know-how transfer is often and greatly underestimated during the planning and implementation of TTs from one industrial “culture” to another. Greater insight and knowledge of the problems associated with know-how transfer in TT projects can only be obtained from case studies in (...)

BackgroundMoral distress is one of the most important problems that nurses face in their care of patients. Various studies have reported the frequency and severity of moral distress in nurses. However, to date, a comprehensive study that shows the results of these research across the world was not found, therefore due to the importance of this issue, its role in the health of nurses and patients, and the lack of general statistics about it worldwide, the present study was conducted to (...)

Impacts of Skill Centrality on Regional Economic Productivity and Occupational Income.Keith Waters & Shade T. Shutters - 2022 - Complexity 2022:1-7.
A well-developed perspective in the study of urban systems is that cities are complex systems that manifest as networks of interdependent economic units. These units might be occupations, industries, labor skills, patent technologies, etc. Much research has focused on describing the nature of these networks, quantifying their links, and suggesting applications for policymakers. In this paper, we examine the US skill network, focusing on the relationship between network centrality and economic performance. Here, nodes are represented by individual labor skills, and (...)

This book consists of an introductory chapter presenting most of the historical information about Proclus’ life and works and four long chapters dealing with basic metaphysical principles, the hierarchy of being, general physical theory, and the astronomical order, respectively. The introduction collecting information about Proclus’ background and influence in the western and eastern medieval traditions and beyond is engagingly written, although one wonders whether the comments that Proclus’ annual salary as head of the Academy is $500,000 in today’s money (...)

Nigeria is an example of developing countries characterised by mass poverty in the midst of plenty. Coincidentally, the Nigerian church is stupendously rich. Pastor Emmanuel, a former National Coordinator of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Germany, notes that the annual revenue of the Nigeria church in 2014 is over ₦3 trillion while surprisingly, the national budget is ₦4.69tn for the year. Gigantic buildings, exotic cars and private jets are the hallmarks of the church’s wealth. Some pastors acquire jets (...)
