Abstract

Dans son ouvrage intitulé La métaphysique chez Merleau-Ponty, Michel Dalissier entreprend un riche commentaire des occurrences du mot « métaphysique » dans l’intégralité des oeuvres du phénoménologue français. Il organise son étude moyennant une triade de notions directrices - structuration, factivité, reprise - qu’il applique aux textes merleaupontyens pour y faire émerger le travail actif d’une vis métaphysique sous-tendue à l’articulation générale de cette philosophie. Il montre que l’exigence d’une refonte de la métaphysique, que Merleau-Ponty revendique souterrainement dans peu de loci, structure sa phénoménologie et son ontologie, ainsi que ses approches de thématiques les plus variées, de la religion aux arts.In his work, La métaphysique chez Merleau-Ponty, Michel Dalissier undertakes a rich commentary on occurences of the word “metaphysics” throughout the entire body of work of the French phenomenologist. He organizes his study by means of a triad of principal concepts – structuration, factuality, retake – that he applies to Merleau-Ponty’s texts in order to bring to light the active operation of a metaphysics underlying the general articulation of that philosophy. He shows that the need for a recasting of metaphysics, something Merleau-Ponty implicitly calls for in only a few places, shapes his phenomenology and his ontology, as well as his approaches to a variety of topics, from religion to the arts.In La métaphysique chez Merleau-Ponty, Michel Dalissier ci consegna un ricco commento delle occorrenze del termine “metafisica” nelle opere del fenomenologo francese, considerate nella loro integralità. Il libro è organizzato intorno ad una triade di nozioni cardinali - strutturazione, fattività e ripresa - che Dalissier applica ai testi di Merleau-Ponty per fare emergere da essi il lavoro attivo di una metafisica che sarebbe sotteso all’articolazione generale di questa filosofia. Egli mostra come l’esigenza di una riforma della metafisica, che Merleau-Ponty rivendica sotterraneamente in pochi loci, strutturi bensì la sua fenomenologia e la sua ontologia, così come il suo approccio alle tematiche più disparate, dalla religione alle arti.
