Abstract

The main Gauthier moral contribution is little known in our country. That’s strange because his theory is one of the most important and original ethics in its contribution in the United States. In his arguments Gauthier uses the Rational Choice Theory and the Games Theory, and for that his formulations are very interesting, an important contribution in the social contract field. Some people think that since the Theory of Justice of John Rawls the moral philosophy wouldn’t have a similar contribution. This paper shows a short synthesis of morals by agreement and evaluates if it is possible to apply the theory in daily life
