Confidence is higher in touch than in vision in cases of perceptual ambiguity

Abstract
We provide a new account of the oft-mentioned special character of touch, showing that its superior reliability is subjective rather than objective : Touch provides higher certainty than vision, for the same level of objective accuracy.Author's Profile
