The Sanjaya Myth: Sanjaya Belatthiputta and the Catuskoti.B. Jack Copeland & Syed Moynul Alam Nizar - forthcoming - Philosophy East and West.
Respected modern scholars regard the pre-Buddhist philosopher Sañjaya Belaṭṭhiputta—a significant figure in the Buddhist canon—as the originator of the important classical argument- forms known as the catuṣkoṭi and catuṣkoṭi vinirmukta. We argue that the early Buddhist texts do not in fact support this view of the origin of these argument-forms; the question of their origin is open. While it is certainly true that the Pāli Sāmaññaphala Sutta and some of its parallels portray Sañjaya as deploying the catuṣkoṭi, there is nothing (...)

  5. Sanjaya Bellatthiputta's Technique of "Denials and Deny Denials": An Original Critique of Knowledge and Judgment.Mathew Varghese - 2007 - Philosophia: International Journal of Philosophy (Philippine e-journal) 36 (1).
The question of knowledge and judgment is a problem in the history philosophy. We can even predict that the conflicts in philosophical understanding are due to finding appropriate knowledge for suitable judgments. Discussion on this aspect was a part of the Indian philosophical tradition during the time of the Buddha. We here try to understand the concept of "denials and deny denials" introduced by Sanjaya Bellatthiputta whose philosophical school is known as Amaravikkhepa. Here we examine this concept in relation (...)

Peter Walker, In the Steps of Jesus: Menapak Jejak Mesias, diterjemahkan oleh V. Indra Sanjaya, Yogyakarta: Kanisius, 2010, 215 hlm.

Jain philosophy: historical outline.Narendra Nath Bhattacharyya - 1999 - New Delhi: Munshiram Manoharlal Publishers.
Description: Jain Philosophy : Historical Outline interprets the fundamentals of Jain philosophy from the viewpoint of their historical genesis and development and shows that the incipient stage of the Jain thought-complex agreed totally with the pythagorean approach to philosophy which was based on observed realities and was quite in harmony with the existing socio-political conditions of the time of Lord Mahavira while the sophisticated stage marked by the a priori doctrines and dogmas it had generated in course of its development (...)

Processions, Seductions, Divine Battles: Aśvaghoṣa at the Foundations of Old Javanese Literature.Thomas M. Hunter - 2019 - Journal of Indian Philosophy 47 (2):341-360.
The influence of Aśvaghoṣa on the later tradition of kāvya was largely passed over in the South Asian tradition, even though the debt to his influence is clear in processional scenes developed by Kālidāsa and the attempted seduction of Arjuna developed by Bhāravi in his Kirātārjunīyam. We know from the testimony of the Chinese pilgrim Yijing that the Buddhacarita was a revered object of study in the Sumatran capital Śrībhoga near the close of the seventh century CE. It thus perhaps (...)
