Abstract

This article attempts to look at the occupational field of mosques as an extracurricular place of learning. In addition to its traditional function as a place of prayer, the mosque fulfils a variety of multifunctional tasks, especially for Muslims living in Germany. This article will empirically outline the points of contact such a place has with philosophical-ethical questions; which topics are dealt with in the mosques; and why mosques are suitable as extracurricular places of learning.
