Abstract
The conflict between freedom and determinism is a common topic in philosophical literature. The present essay aims to face the topic from briefconsiderations of Spinoza and Kant‟s general positions, in other words, how bothseem to adhere to different forms of compatibilism. For this, the essay placesemphasis in the importance of intelligible reflection and how only through it man canknow himself –and make himself– free. Finally, it presents conclusions about thepossibility of morality in a world signed by determinism.
