  2. Logic and Spirituality to Maximus the Confessor.Nichifor Tănase - 2015 - Philotheos 15:134-159.
Giving justice to Maximus any philosophy wich does not include mysticism will be false as philosophy. Our metaphysics must be mystical in order to be rational. In Maximus’ doctrine, then, Christ comes not to destroy but to fulfill the metaphysics of mystery elaborated by the philosophers. For him there can be no separation between philosophy and theology, or between natural and revealed theology. Thereby, Christology and liturgical mysticism are not additional to a neoplatonic, aristotelian, and other methaphysics. Maximus concern was (...)

  8. Otherness and Apophaticism: Yannaras’ Discourse of „Personhood” and the Divine Energy in the Apophatic Theognosia.Nichifor Tănase - 2014 - Philotheos 14:254-267.
At Yannaras and to Zizioulas there is an absolutization and idealization of otherness, which, together with freedom, are two fundamental attributes of personhood. Alterity acquires value and meaning only in relation with relational factors: love, fellowship and, also, being/nature. Due to the fact that, at Yannaras, nature denies apriori the person as otherness (the ratio between person and nature is defined under the aspect of: priority, inclusion, transcendence or conflict). S. Agouridic qualified both Zizioulas and Yannaras as “fighter against/opponent of (...)

  10. Remigration, Identity, and Adjustment.Alexandru-Stelian Gulei - 2014 - Symposion: Theoretical and Applied Inquiries in Philosophy and Social Sciences 1 (2):177-189.
Migration generates well-being for individuals and communities, but the pursuit of well-being is not without risks. Tens of thousands of Romanian children are affected by the migration of their parents, others have to cope with the effects of their own migration. Should migrants have difficulties adjusting when returning “home”? Is readjustment even possible for all remigrants, without support? The article aims to present some issues that the remigrants are confronted with when trying to readjust to their communities of origin. The (...)

    Light – Icon/Stained Glass – Illumination.Ioan Chirilă, Stelian Pașca-Tușa, Ioan Popa-Bota & Claudia-Cosmina Trif - 2018 - Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies 17 (50):96-108.
God revealed to man during the history of his salvation in two ways: through word and through image. In other words, the divine message was addressed to the hearing and seeing of man. In the second case, revelation was achieved in a complete form. Man was part of a theophanic act, he was enveloped by the divine light and with the help of his spiritual eyes he was able to see, as much as it was permitted, God who is light. (...)

Reconstitution of Melchizedek's history in Rabbinic and Christian traditions.Ioan Chirilă, Stelian Pașca-Tușa & Elena Onețiu - 2017 - Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies 16 (48):3-15.
Melchizedek’s meeting with Abraham in the King’s Valley would mark the history of the chosen people. As king of Salem and priest of the Almighty God, Melchizedek meets the patriarch with bread and wine and then blesses him in the name of the God they both served. Assuming this liturgical ritual Abraham offers Melchizedek a tenth of everything, by this acknowledging and accepting his sacerdotal service. Even though at a first sight their gestures are somewhat natural, we will understand going (...)

“Mister Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” Socio‑economic and Political Consequences 30 Years After.Mihai Stelian Rusu, Corneliu Pintilescu & Dalia Báthory - 2019 - History of Communism in Europe 10:7-17.
The fall of the Berlin Wall stood for a symbol of change and freedom across the socialist bloc and inspired the inhabitants in Eastern Europe to take action and revolt against dictatorial regimes. A long and often painful process of social, economic and political transformation began. Scholars grouped their research dealing with such transformations under the label of “Transitology” and the developing subfields of “transitional justice” and “memory studies” expanded and caught the academic interest. The present argument looks at the (...)

The Application of Feed - Forward Neural Network Architecture for Improving Energy Efficiency.Delia Balacian, Denisa Maria Melian & Stelian Stancu - 2023 - Postmodern Openings 14 (2):1-17.
The energy sector contributes approximately two-thirds of global greenhouse gas emissions. In this context, the sector must adapt to new supply and demand networks for all future energy sources. The ongoing transformation in the European energy field is driven by the ambition of the European Union to reach the climate objectives set for 2030. The main actions are increasing renewable energy production, adapting transition fuels like natural gas to reduce emissions, improving energy efficiency across all economic sectors, prioritizing building, transportation, (...)

The Influence of the Religious Factors on the Electoral Option – Quantitative Analysis.Tudorel Andrei, Ion Gh Rosca, Stelian Stancu & Andreea Iluzia Iacob - 2008 - Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies 7 (21):20-43.
In this study there are presented a series of aspects concerning the religious behavior of the Romanian population. By using quantitative analysis we have identified a series of religious key factors which can be used by parties and politicians to obtain votes during election campaigns. The obtained results highlight the fact that people with a lower level of education are more receptive to the political messages transmitted by religious means. Also, the influence of political actions and messages having a religious (...)

  21. Routledge Handbook of Dehumanization.Maria Kronfeldner (ed.) - 2021 - London, New York: Routledge.
A striking feature of atrocities, as seen in genocides, civil wars or violence against certain racial and ethnic groups, is the attempt to dehumanize – to deny and strip human beings of their humanity. Yet the very nature of dehumanization remains relatively poorly understood. The Routledge Handbook of Dehumanization is the first comprehensive and multidisciplinary reference source on the subject and an outstanding survey of the key concepts, issues and debates within dehumanization studies. Organized into four parts, the Handbook covers (...)
