Problems of Regulating Remuneration for the Work of Public Sector Employees in Lithuania.Valerija Gerikienė & Inga Blažienė - 2009 - Jurisprudencija: Mokslo darbu žurnalas 118 (4):299-320.
The article deals with the problems related to the remuneration for the work of public sector employees in Lithuania resulting from different legislation (laws, governmental resolutions and ministerial orders issued on the basis thereof) applied to regulate the conditions of remuneration for the work of public sector employees. In the context of the present economic downturn the situation is even more complicated by unequal adjustment (cutting) of the salaries of the employees in different agencies/organisations which even more distorts the conditions (...)

Proof mining in lp spaces.Andrei Sipoş - 2019 - Journal of Symbolic Logic 84 (4):1612-1629.
We obtain an equivalent implicit characterization of Lp Banach spaces that is amenable to a logical treatment. Using that, we obtain an axiomatization for such spaces into a higher order logical system, the kind of which is used in proof mining, a research program that aims to obtain the hidden computational content of mathematical proofs using tools from mathematical logic. As an aside, we obtain a concrete way of formalizing Lp spaces in positive-bounded logic. The axiomatization is followed by a (...)

Imaginea celuilalt: un document francez privind spatiul românesc de la începutul secolului al XIX-lea/ The Image of the Other : A French Document about the Romanian Space in the beginning of the XIXth Century).Sorin Sipos - 2005 - Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies 4 (12):41-48.
The article comments upon the report written by the French captain Aubert about the Romanian space during the XIXth century. It analyses the richness of documentation data contained by the report, through the lenses of the historical anthropological categories of “the other’s image”. The author concludes that the report was elaborated in a period when French interests for the Romanian space was rising.

Ideology, Politics, and Religion in the Work of the Historian Silviu Dragomir.Sorin Sipos - 2008 - Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies 7 (21):79.
In 1962, after insisting upon the Vienna moment and comparing the points in the second Leopold Diploma, the author believed that the union was fulfilled in Vienna where the imperial authorities played an essential role. The Jesuits, who were considered the artisans of the union up to that moment, were reduced to the role of negotiators and forgers of the documents of 1697, 1698 and 1700. Because of the resentments against the “traitors” of the nation, S. Dragomir could not or (...)

Journeys of Political Self-Discovery: The Writings of Miyamoto Yuriko and Panait Istrati from late 1920s Soviet Russia.George T. Sipos - 2018 - Human and Social Studies 7 (3):113-154.
This study reopens the question of the nature of political commitment and its causes during a time that drastically altered the history of the 20th century, the 1920s and 1930s. Focused largely on a body of texts produced by Japanese female writer Miyamoto Yuriko who returned from a three-year long trip to the Soviet Union in late 1920s as a convinced communist, the study offers a comparison with communism renunciation writings produced by leftist Romanian French writer Panait Istrati, as well (...)

    On Extracting Variable Herbrand Disjunctions.Andrei Sipoş - 2022 - Studia Logica 110 (4):1115-1134.
Some quantitative results obtained by proof mining take the form of Herbrand disjunctions that may depend on additional parameters. We attempt to elucidate this fact through an extension to first-order arithmetic of the proof of Herbrand’s theorem due to Gerhardy and Kohlenbach which uses the functional interpretation.

    A proof‐theoretic metatheorem for tracial von Neumann algebras.Liviu Păunescu & Andrei Sipoş - 2023 - Mathematical Logic Quarterly 69 (1):63-76.
We adapt a continuous logic axiomatization of tracial von Neumann algebras due to Farah, Hart and Sherman in order to prove a metatheorem for this class of structures in the style of proof mining, a research programme that aims to obtain the hidden computational content of ordinary mathematical proofs using tools from proof theory.

Implicit Mentalizing in Patients With Schizophrenia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.Timea Csulak, András Hajnal, Szabolcs Kiss, Fanni Dembrovszky, Margit Varjú-Solymár, Zoltán Sipos, Márton Aron Kovács, Márton Herold, Eszter Varga, Péter Hegyi, Tamás Tényi & Róbert Herold - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
IntroductionMentalizing is a key aspect of social cognition. Several researchers assume that mentalization has two systems, an explicit one and an implicit one. In schizophrenia, several studies have confirmed the deficit of explicit mentalizing, but little data are available on non-explicit mentalizing. However, increasing research activity can be detected recently in implicit mentalizing. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to summarize the existing results of implicit mentalizing in schizophreniaMethodsA systematic search was performed in four major databases: MEDLINE, (...)

Attention and interpretation processes and trait anger experience, expression, and control.Keren Maoz, Amy B. Adler, Paul D. Bliese, Maurice L. Sipos, Phillip J. Quartana & Yair Bar-Haim - 2017 - Cognition and Emotion 31 (7):1453-1464.
This study explored attention and interpretation biases in processing facial expressions as correlates of theoretically distinct self-reported anger experience, expression, and control. Non-selected undergraduate students completed cognitive tasks measuring attention bias, interpretation bias, and Spielberger’s State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory. Attention bias toward angry faces was associated with higher trait anger and anger expression and with lower anger control-in and anger control-out. The propensity to quickly interpret ambiguous faces as angry was associated with greater anger expression and its subcomponent of anger (...)
