Background Previous studies have shown that the rapid transition to emergency remote teaching due to the COVID-19 pandemic was challenging for healthcare teachers in many ways. This sudden change made them face ethical dilemmas that challenged their values and ethical competence. Research aim This study aimed to explore and gain a deeper understanding of the ethical dilemmas healthcare teachers faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Socialinė politika ir gyvenimo eiga: gyvenimo eigos politikos analizės schemos pritaikymas Lietuvai.Jekaterina Navickė - 2023 - Filosofija. Sociologija 34 (4 Special).
Dėl to šiuolaikinę Lietuvą galima priskirti pofordistiniam gyvenimo (...)

Compulsive Growth and the Dynamics of “Perverted Progress”.Jekaterina Markow - 2019 - Yearbook for Eastern and Western Philosophy 2019 (4):329-346.
This text offers a critique of a certain development in political discourses on progress, namely the “decoupling” of notions of moral from notions of technological progress. This decoupling yields fatal social, economic and ecologic consequences in practice that ultimately amount to a virtual perversion of progress. The second part of the paper reflects upon the psychosocial drivers of this dynamic. I venture that the only motive that may explain why we reproduce this dynamic even as we increasingly suffer from its (...)

Harnessing the Humanities to Foster Staff Resilience: An Annual Arts and Humanities Rounds at a Children’s Hospital.Wynne Morrison, Elizabeth Steinmiller, Sofia Lizza, Todd Dillard, Patrick Lipawen & Stephen Ludwig - 2024 - Journal of Medical Humanities 45 (1):113-119.
Working in healthcare can be fulfilling, meaningful, and sometimes exhausting. Creative endeavors may be one way to foster personal resilience in healthcare providers. In this article, we describe an annual arts and humanities program, the Ludwig Rounds, developed at a large academic children’s hospital. The event encourages staff to reflect on resilience by sharing their creative work and how it had an impact on their clinical careers. The multidisciplinary forum also allows staff to connect and learn about each other. We (...)
