Knowing How to See the Good: Vipasyana in Kamalasila's The Process of Meditation

Abstract

This chapter argues that Kamalasila does not present vipasyana as a technique for discovering new truths about experience, but as a technique for changing how we observe and respond to the world. In explaining this alternative account, it draws on Wilfrid Sellars' theory of observation.
