Discussing Zhuxi's Interpretation of the Concept of "Human Nature" in Mencius and Its Possible Problems
Abstract
From "Mencius" the book can see that Mencius' theory of human nature is the idea of "human nature is good." Paul is the solution when almost all people as "people are basically good." This is when it is affected by the Neo-Confucianism; Dacheng Zhu Xi Neo-Confucianism as set in the "Mencius Annotations" in the know that "people are basically good." However, Zhu Xi's view, the real philosophy of human nature when seen as an interpretation of Mencius, Mencius, human nature should not be regarded as a theory to explain really. Zhu Xi's philosophy of self-contained, a considerable academic sense, therefore, to the interpretation of Mencius philosophy, will inevitably produce differences. This paper analyzes the Zhu Xi "Mencius' comment of the key words, such as sex, intelligence, talent, heart, compared to" Mencius "context to the interpretation of Zhu Xi was the" Mencius, "the text will have differences, can not even understand through the environment, Mencius also said, "human nature is good" may be true meaning. ﹝ to human nature is good proof of Mencius "and Zhu Xi," basically good "mentality between the two are completely different. The paper concludes: Mencius on human nature is the idea of "human nature is good", rather than Zhu Xi explained, "people are basically good." Shun this can see that when people stand based on the interpretation of Neo-Confucianism, "Mencius' theory of human nature, its misunderstanding when more in-depth, so the conclusion is full of unforeseen danger.
