Abstract

I could buy a Pepper, or better a Nao. I have seen him at Darty's last Sunday. A jolly little fellow, with a friendly face of white plastic and a perpetual smile. I shook his three fingered hand, and he said a few words, something like, "Welcome in, enjoy the evening." At home, it would be different. I could try and teach him things. I would let him wheel around the apartment, and make sure everything is alright. If I were living in Japan, I could buy it as an individual. In France, I would have to pretend I am buying the robot for my university. I would have to pay for it myself, though. But I could: $9,500. I would have to sell the car. My partner might not be too happy. The children would be excited at first...
