Le champ français des aires culturelles connaît des transformations importantes depuis la fin des années quatre-vingts dix. Les événements récents liés à la montée des identités régionales, l’émergence de nouveaux géants mondiaux ou encore aux aspirations démocratiques en différentes régions du globe invitent à repenser l’ordre normatif du monde tel qu’il se dessinait depuis la fin de la deuxième guerre mondiale. En sciences humaines et sociales, la notion d’aires culturelles est réinvestie dans ses dimensions politiques, économiques et culturelles. Dans ce (...) cadre, les chercheurs d’aires réinvestissent la notion d’aires culturelles pour mieux rendre compte du phénomène de la globalisation, à travers l’ensemble des circulations planétaires. Les approches comparatives sont privilégiées et des méthodes et outils novateurs sont envisagés. Cet article se propose de retracer ce mouvement de redynamisation épistémologique dans le champ des aires culturelles, en discutant les conditions institutionnelles de sa pérennisation. (shrink)

This paper investigates the short-term effects on the price of the ethically screened stocks of the Dow Jones Islamic Market World Index quarterly revisions. Using a sample of 8250 stocks from May 1999 through June 2012, we find a significant price reaction of the ethically screened stocks following additions and deletions. The results show that additions from emerging stock markets tend to experience a greater and significantly positive price response than additions from the developed markets. Further tests reveal that the (...) price reactions following DJIMWI revisions are likely to be driven by shifts in investor sentiment rather than changes in firm fundamentals. (shrink)

We give in this paper a short semantical proof of the strong normalization for full propositional classical natural deduction. This proof is an adaptation of reducibility candidates introduced by J.-Y. Girard and simplified to the classical case by M. Parigot.

In this paper, we define a realizability semantics for the simply typed $lambdamu$-calculus. We show that if a term is typable, then it inhabits the interpretation of its type. This result serves to give characterizations of the computational behavior of some closed typed terms. We also prove a completeness result of our realizability semantics using a particular term model.

In this paper, we present the -calculus which at the typed level corresponds to the full classical propositional natural deduction system. The Church–Rosser property of this system is proved using the standardisation and the finiteness developments theorem. We also define the leftmost reduction and prove that it is a winning strategy.
