Abstract

En el octavo capítulo de su escrito “ Sobre el Bien o el Uno ”, Plotino trata acerca del movimiento del alma. ¿Es éste un escrito sobre física o una investigación psicológica? No en absoluto. Allí no se habla ni de la relación del alma con el cuerpo, ni tampoco de su relación con el mundo. Además, los dos modelos posibles de la estructura del alma, –la tripartición platónica y la división aristotélica en facultades– se vuelve allí inútil. El movimiento previsto del alma pertenece sólo a su destino como “sujeto” del Uno. La forma de pensar de Plotino en esta materia permite reconocer una filosofía cuyo horizonte ya no es la tradición “griega”, sino la revelación de la sapientia christiana. In the eighth chapter of his treatise “On the Good or the One”, Plotinus considers the movement of the soul. A piece of Physics? A psychological research? Not at all. There it is neither spoken about the soul in relation with the body, nor with the world. Furthermore both possible models of the soul structure –Platonic tripartition and Aristotelian division into faculties– remain there useless. The envisaged movement of the soul belongs only to her destiny as “subject” of the One. Plotinus way of thinking on this matter allow us to recognise a Philosophy whose real horizon is no more the “Greek” tradition, but the revelation of the sapientia christiana.
