Abstract

Professor Jinhai Yang is Deputy Secretary-General of the Bureau of Compilation and Translation, which is one of the scholarly institutes attached to the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Its primary task is to produce an authoritative edition of the works of Marx, Engels and Lenin, but it also serves as a gateway to other advisory bodies.
