Abstract
Northwestern University School of Museology collection of Japanese Tang epitaphs, as an important kind of information, due to diffuse his hand and keep writing the information incomplete. Rake a lot of literature through to the incomplete part of the research, but also the inscription of the original information is a meaningful work, based on the Interpretation of the worthies to be up release to try to restore the original inscription. The eptaph of a Japanese diplomat to the Tang Dynasty collected by school of Historical Relics and Museology, Northwest University is very important substantial information. Soaked by water for a long time, the Chinese characters on the epitaph are not legible. It is a sigmificant job to recover the original information on the epitaph by consulting a large number of reference materials to examine and check the broken parts on it
