Abstract

John Somerville, the founding editor of Soviet Studies in Philosophy, is retiring after twenty-five years of distinguished service to the readers of this journal. Professor Somerville has written many books, including The Philosophy of Peace, Methodology in Social Science, The Peace Revolution: Ethos and Social Process, and Soviet Marxism and Nuclear War, and he co-edited the volume Social and Political Philosophy. He is also the author of a documentary play.
