Abstract

This study aims to analyze the foreign policy of the European Union. This will review the overall direction of all member countries, its geostrategic position and diplomatic agendas. In a global context in which the European Union plays a role of mere observer, unable to exercise a power to take decisions on key aspects of international politics, the only option is to strengthen foreign policy. The European Union has an obligation to speak to the world with one voice, and not delegate the defense and security issues to the usual ally, the United States.
