Schopenhauer and the Limits of Language

Abstract
Schopenhauer has an insightful and well-developed philosophy of language. He maintains that language is comprised of words signifying concepts and that concepts, in turn, must have a basis in perception. Concepts not founded on perception, and the words which "signify" them, are effectively meaningless.My notes
