Abstract

Resumo A palavra religião tem tido diferentes significados através da história. Para os romanos, a religião consistia no culto aos deuses, feito meticulosamente, com o fim de obter e agradecer os favores divinos. Dentro do horizonte teológico da criação, a religião é considerada como uma virtude moral principal, que tem como objecto honrar a Deus mediante os actos de culto e o serviço dos irmãos. No horizonte da subjectividade moderna, desenvolvem-se múltiplas filosofias da religião de conteúdo moral, baseadas na razão. No horizonte pós-moderno das ciências estuda-se o fenómeno religioso nas suas múltiplas manifestações históricas, indagando o que há de comum em todas elas. Para Zubiri, pelo contrário, as religiões históricas são consideradas “plasmações” de uma experiência humana primordial que se chama “religação ao poder último, possibilitante e impelente da realidade”, cuja análise constitui um dos contributos mais importantes da filosofia zubiriana. For the Romans, religion consisted in the meticulous cult to gods in order to obtain and thank the divine favors. Within the theological horizon of creation, religion is considered as a major moral virtue that seeks to honor God through acts of worship and the service to others. Within the horizon of modern subjectivity, we realize the development of multiple philosophies of religion of moral content, based on reason. On the postmodern horizon of sciences religious phenomenon is studied in its various historical manifestations, wondering what is common to them all. For Zubiri, on the contrary, the historical religions are “moldings” of a primordial human experience called “religation to the power of reality which is ultimate power of possibility and impelling. Its analysis is one of the most important contributions of Zubiri’s philosophy. Keywords : “deity”, philosophy of religion
