Abstract

Part four of the Proceedings of the Fifth International Congress of Logic, Methodology, and Philosophy of Science, London, Ontario, Canada, 1975, contains fifteen papers, which are loosely organized under three general headings. The first, and by far the longest, part of the book consists of ten papers concerned with the history of methodology, science, and philosophy of science. The second part contains two essays on the history of the concept of matter and material causality. The three papers constituting part three of the volume focus on problems related to theory change.
