The Evolvement of Modern Party Politics in Egypt

Abstract

Egyptian origin of modern party politics in the early 20th century, after the constitutional era, the era of Nasser era and Hounasaier three stages. From the constitutional era of multi-party politics to the Nasser era of one-party politics and party politics in the era Hounasaier process of diversification, the evolution of modern party politics in Egypt constitutes a clear trajectory. Nationalist parties and the democratic political parties of the shift, secular and religious political parties, the complex interplay of political parties, parliamentary political parties and non-parliamentary political parties of fierce competition, the process of modernization in Egypt embodies the history of political movements. There are three development stages of the modern party politics in Egypt, namely the Constitutionalism Era, the Nasser Era and the post-Nasser Era from the beginning of the 20th century. And the Evolvement of Egypt party politics was from the multi-party politics of the Constitutionalism Era to the single-party politics of the Nasser Era and the last to multiplication of party politics during the post-Nasser Era. At the same time, the rise and fall of nationalism parties and democratic parties, the interweavement of secular parties and religious parties, and the fierce conflicts between parliamentary parties and non-parliamentary parties, embodied the historical movements in political circles of the modernization in Egypt
