Abstract

Pretende-se mostrar que, para Platão, os seres que aparecem fundam-se em dois princípios contrários , e que todo gerado é algo enquanto tal e está em movimento para deixar de ser. Deste ângulo, o Filebo investiga o que são prazer e dor como trânsitos “em”. Ora, a música depende da harmonia enquanto cálculo e número, como todas as coisas geradas, e sem adentrar nos fundamentos da harmonia não se recolhe a melhor via para a eudaimonía.We aim to demonstrate that for Plato the beings that appear to thesenses are based on two opposite principles, the limited andthe unlimited, and that everything generated is both something as such andsomething in motion towards not being. From this point of view, the Philebusinvestigates the meaning of pleasure and pain as they are “in” motion. Music depends as much on harmony as anygeneration does, and the discovery of the better way to eudaimonía is notpossible without an investigation into the essence of harmony
