Transformation nazi policies Third Reich in the religious life in Germany in the 20-ty – 40-ty of the XX-th century

Abstract

based on primary sources and modern historical research reveals transformational change in the relationship of Christianity and Nazism in Germany during 1933 ­ 1941 years, the example of the main churches ­ Lutheran and Catholic. Traces the transformation period of change and the factors that influenced the transformation of the religious policy of the Third Reich. Tentatively identified six transitional period of Nazi policy on religious life in Germany, which chronologically cover not only the regime of the Third Reich, but also the formation of the Nazi Party and its position relative to the religious life of the German people. The main focus is on the features of different periods of the religious policy of the Third Reich in the «Nazi god­building», which allows you to see: dualistic position towards religious issues among party members, which was shown in the declaration of religious freedom and its actual limits, opposition to the Nazi party state system of the Third Reich, the specificity of the role of Hitler as Reich Chancellor and Fuhrer, in the party­state confrontation. Author determined by two factors transformational changes that influenced the religious policy of the Third Reich, depending on the external ­, domestic circumstances, namely party­ideological and state­pragmatic.
