Abstract

I wish to thank all those who contributed to the publication of this volume. In the first place, I am indebted to Professor Jacek Malinowski, the idea-giver and animator of the whole enterprise, and to dr. hab. Rafał Palczewski, responsible for the editorial work on this volume. I also thank Professor Heinrich Wansing for valuable comments on the content of some parts of this book.
