Abstract

"La reflexión teológica del siglo XX ha prestado poca atención al concepto de “divinitus revelabilia” que Santo Tomás de Aquino define discreta pero inequívocamente al inicio de la Suma de Teología y que, sin embargo, tiene importantes implicaciones para la sacra doctrina. En el presente artículo se abordan, a nivel meramente introductorio, algunos aspectos importantes de la cuestión. Con ello, se pone de manifiesto que se trata de una verdadera categoría teológica, que posee una estrecha relación con el concepto de necesidad de la divina Revelación, permitiendo discernir con claridad una legítima distinción formal de una ilícita separación material entre razón y fe, entre Filosofía y Teología, en el ámbito de la sacra doctrina, y fundando lo que se podría denominar una “extensión radical” del concepto de divina Revelación. /// Theological reflection of the twentieth century has given sparse attention to the concept of “divinitus revelabilia” which Saint Thomas Aquinas discreetly but unequivocally defines at the beginning of the Summa Theologiae and which, nonetheless, has important implications for sacra doctrina. This article deals, in a merely introductive manner, with some of the important aspects of this question. It duly becomes manifest that this is a true theological category closely linked with the concept of the necessity of divine Revelation, enabling a clear vision of a legitimate formal distinction of an illicit material separation between reason and faith, between Philosophy and Theology in the ambit of sacra doctrina, laying the groundwork for what could be called a “radical extension” of the concept of divine Revelation."
