    Practical Knowledge Versus Knowledge as Practice.István Danka - 2009 - Human Affairs 19 (4):397-407.
Practical Knowledge Versus Knowledge as Practice The main thesis of this essay is that practice is superior to a "theoretical vs. practical" distinction. In this sense, every sort of knowledge is essentially "practical"; so-called "theoretical" knowledge is an historically overemphasised borderline example of the practical. Based mostly on Wittgenstein's view, I shall gradually refine an opposition between theoretical and practical knowledge by analysing some related dualisms on an active, processual, communicative and applicative concept of knowledge. Then I will provide some (...)

  4. Reconciling Constructivism with Realism: How Far Non-dualism Should Be Followed.I. Danka - 2015 - Constructivist Foundations 11 (1):165-167.

    What socio-historicism and naturalism can learn from one another.Istvan Danka - 2017 - Human Affairs 27 (3):333-343.
In this paper I shall argue on Rortyan grounds that the two prima facie conflicting trends in contemporary philosophy, i.e. socialising and naturalising the mind should go hand in hand. First, I shall discuss socialising and naturalising tendencies as anti-sceptical strategies. Then I shall challenge both approaches and sketch out that they can be used together to solve some of their central problems. I shall recall how socially minded philosophers tend to ignore the non-social and argue that a naturalistic explanation (...)
