The Dialectical Relationship between Moral Judgment and Ethics

Abstract

This study by the moral judgments, analyzes Piaget and Kohlberg's stages of moral development theory and found that the development of moral judgments, are in fact reflects the ethical principles of universality of human aspirations to pursue the idea. But through the history of ethics review, we found that: any so-called universal ethical principles, the individual must also be Yishi specific accumulation of experience. Therefore, the relationship between morality and ethics, the Department based on two key factors: First, the principle of universality, the second is the principle of specialty. Generally come from a special, special back from the general, moral and ethical universality and particularity in between endless dialectical process, derived general ethical and professional ethics disputes between. This paper attempts to apply the ethical point of view, the presentation of human subjectivity, in the context of different situations, have more freedom of choice, rather than a single condition, principle, forced to accept the principle of universality or particularity. Thus, moral and ethical dialectical relationship between, and finally in the main body of the freedom achieved a delicate balance. This research analyzes both Piaget's and Kohlberg's theory of moral development stages from the researches of moral judgment. We find development process of moral judgment is response the fact of human search for principle of universality. Another, we find any principle of universality are depend on individual experiences from ethics history. So, the relationship of moral and ethics found two important factors: universality and individuation. But the dialectical relationship between moral judgment and ethics move around universality and individuation. And bring issue of general ethics and professional ethics. Therefore, this research tries explains freedom of subjectivity can solve the dialectical relationship between moral judgment and ethics move around universality and individuation from applied ethics
