Deterministic and indeterministic tense operators
Abstract
From logical and linguistic point of view there are distinguishable two meanings of tense operators. The distinction is sometimes indicated by grammatical means. From logical and philosophical angle the essence of the difference consists in the fact that in one case the argument in favour of the thesis of determinism from the logical principle of the excluded middle can be reconstructed, whereas in another it is not possible 1 . The first of the meanings will be called deterministic and the second one – indeterministic
