Abstract

The paper proposes an analytical recontruction of Herny Lefebre's interpretation of Antonio Grasci's thought. Although Lefebre is almost neglected in the history of Marxism, mainly due to the relevance of Althusser's contribution, he is the author of an attempt to elaborate a philosophy of praxis. His critique to the Marxist mainstream view, led him to re-propose the cathegory of hegemony of the subaltern groups. However, the most of Lefebre's wirtings ignore Gramsci's contribution and a reference to the Italian scholar is present only in Lefebre's theory of statual mode of production. Even in this case, unfortunately, Lefebre does not fully understood Gramsci's philosophical contribution and underestimates it.
