Abstract

The article is focused on Foucault’s thought between the end of the Seventies and the beginning of the Eighties. The notions of self care and subject proposed by Foucault in those years can be read as forms of political fight and resistance against the multiple powers which attempt to rule our private and public life in contemporary societies. The pursuit of lifestyle and the permanent creation of the self are ideas which come from the Ancient Greece, and now become strategies of political fight and exercise of freedom
