The Priority of the Political and Its Limits: Reflections on a Theoretical Presupposition of Political Liberalism

Abstract

Rawls's "political liberalism" is not only just in the political context, but also directly operate within the political, so in addition to advocating political independence, while it is in fact also a political priority by default. However, due to internal politics and human nature is no longer associated with the consensus of modern society, with emphasis on political alienation in the political priority of the political philosophy into two opposing ideas. Political liberalism emphasizes the priority of politics is to give priority to the political system and a reasonable background of political relations, which constitutes the political community as a people should be shared, internal politics of the good. However, the priority of political justice issues is limited to the theoretical framework methods and ways of thinking, it is not in the substantive principles of justice in the class of citizens to actively participate in political responsibility, which makes the "political liberalism" in the two opposing idea of the political philosophy of a balance achieved between
