Abstract

John Deigh’s On Emotions is a well-chosen collection of essays written in memory of Robert C. Solomon. The authors present Solomon's work as a breakthrough in the philosophy of the emotions, one that paved the way for cognitive theories according to which emotions are evaluative judgments for which we can be held responsible.
