The notion of trust as an element of social and ethical life

Abstract

In the last decade the notion of trust appeared again in many areas of study such as psychology, sociology, economy, marceting and also philosophy. The article conveys the notion of trust as a very important element of life in the society. The article includes the precursors of this notion as well as it attemps to define the concept. The author pays particular attantion at ethnical side of the notion of trust and cosequences of that. The conclusion of the article is based on the results of the research for social trust in Poland in the year 2010.
